So, I'm not sure this is just a 'FPS' issue for me. However, upon entering certain activities (most notably for me the DSC boss CP) the entire game will freeze while on a blackscreen after 'flying' in. I will get a windows loading icon on my mouse, after about 5 seconds it corrects itself, game loads, then will proceed to have a few stutters where the entire viewport freezes for half a second or so and will eventually run normally after about 30 seconds of being in game. I'm a speedrunner / challenge raider so the issue may be a little unique to me and how it's affecting me? But this is not an issue I've ever had before Beyond Light. I'm not having any issues at all, anywhere else in any other game or application. What I've tried: Closing every non essential background process, ran stability/bench tests on CPU and GPU, swapped SSD install locations, did a full reinstall of the game on both SSD's, disabled windows game bar. In game I've tried being host, not being host, preloading, changed graphics settings: high, low, vsync on/off, framerate caps etc, no fix. I've also de-OC'ed my CPU and turned XMP off, no change. Specs: Intel i7 8700k, 4.3GHZ (boost, stock) AND at 4.7GHZ (mild OC) 8gb RAM, 3000mhz, CL 15 2070 Super, 1930mhz (stock), 7000mhz memory clock (also stock) Samsung evo 500gb sata ssd, WD 500gb sata ssd None of the rest of my team is having the issue I'm having, I'm aware no one really cares about the competitive raider community but, it's pretty game breaking for what I like to do in the game. I would greatly appreciate any insight / suggestions on how I could fix this. Thank you. My only guess is related to GPU, I'm the only one on my team with a 2070 Super, others have non super 20 series or 10 series Nvidia cards. Edit: I've also noticed that GPU usage drops to 0% while the 'freeze' happens.
