Just wanted to share some positive feedback. I think you guys have really outdone yourselves with this raid. It's gorgeous, the encounters are engaging, complicated, and with just the right amount of difficulty. They require a level of coordination that I think brings out the best in groups (ymmv).
The music is incredible. Some of my new favorite compositions, truly.
The space station is an absolutely stunning set piece, and the subsequent encounter, while not the most complicated in the raid, is possibly the most exciting encounter I've played in the Destiny franchise. Seriously, I'm leaning forward (and giggling) the entire fight.
And the way the story ties directly in with the campaign, by the way, and in a more immediate and direct way than even Last Wish did, makes the experience feel heroic, like you're really stepping up and saving the day as a fireteam.
Oh! And the new weapons look great, they shade great, and they're exciting to use, not to mention the vendor mechanic at the end (and providing 20 additional tokens for every subsequent clear, just enough to roll off one new item) is the kind of intentionality this game has been missing in its raids and very desperately needed.
So bravo. I love this raid. I am always ready jump into another one. New favorite. I'm out of compliments. Thank you for creating this.

Great raid but I would like to get stuff other than the arms legs sword and shotgun

I think this raid is incredibly well made, enjoyable, and replayable. An unbelievable step up from Garden, not far off of Last wish, and completely blows everything else out of the water. HOWEVER. I feel like this raid really draws attention to how badly we need optional hard mode for raids. Once you have the execution down, which is very easy for this raid, it feels more like a dungeon than anything and you can run through it with no wipes in 30 minutes even with a team that is not fully competent. If you have three people who half know what they are doing then the raid is a complete joke. Don't get me wrong, it is still enjoyable. I have 20 clears, more than half of which I got no loot from, just because I wanted to help people and genuinely enjoy this raid which I haven't been able to say for a long time. But it is amazing how little communication you need and how easy this raid is. I feel like this is the perfect difficulty for a normal mode raid. Mechanics are very easy to grasp for the casual/average player, there are a lot of useless/add clear roles, and DPS is not strict until the end which is still a guaranteed two phase. But there NEEDS to be a hard mode to satiate the hardcore raiders.

As an experience DSC is fantastic. As a raid??? Boooooooooring.
-
I was disappointed we didn't actually explore the deep stone crypt itself, only the Morningstar and like 3 rooms in the deep stone crypt. I wanted to go old fashion dungeon exploring, each CP brings us deeper and deeper into the facility until the final boss.

Wouldn't know, no one joins my post and no one will let me into a team... Miss D1 lfg...

8 RepliesI agree. I think the encounters are a little easy, but I’m glad it isn’t overwhelming, nor over-complicated like Spire of Stars or Crown of Sorrow. The music is beautiful, easily my favorite tracks in game. My only real criticism is that Taniks is the final boss. He’s someone we know we can kill, and have killed, many times by now. It doesn’t really create a lot of tension. Otherwise, wonderful raid.

1 ReplyWhat gives it an A from me is that the weapons are so good. The weapons/perks are awesome in this raid. If they were bad then I would rate this raid as a B- Above Lev, EoW and Spire. But below LW,KF,WotM, VoG and below even CE. It’s not a hard raid by any means.
-
7 RepliesBest loot pool since VoG change my mind. The spoils and end chest mechanic make extra runs worth it also. Very solid in terms of payoff and loot.
-
4 RepliesNow, if only the hand cannon wasn't precision frame...
-
Couldn't have said it better myself, the chest at the end being a vendor is a wonderful way to award people who got all the previous raid exotics time and deep stone lullaby is one of the best songs they have ever made, just sets the mood perfectly.

I like it but don't know if I can run it every week, raid anxiety hits hard.

12 RepliesIt's lackluster at best. Probably the most boring piece of raid trash they've ever made. I'm also confused by when you say music. I feel like I'm walking into a exo themed funeral for each encounter because it's so quiet. Only time I ever heard music was when a small portion of the encounter bosses happened then it went quiet again. Like wtf. I get we are in a pandemic, but this is just getting sad at this point. People say this content is good, but after playing it for 3 weeks already. I really don't see anything good about it. Since I wasted money on all the season passes. Those will be all I do. At the end of the very last season, that will sadly be the end of the road for me and Destiny. Been fun since day 1 of the first game, but damn they failed terribly by being unable to deliver since... even after they cut ties with Asstivision.
-
It’s even more amazing when you consider this was made during time when they had trouble getting into the studio. A from home raid, in essence.
-
*spider voice* I .... Approve. I agree this raid was a masterpiece. I personally think that its better than most other raids in this game, its hard at first but once you get it down you can REALLY nail it.
-
I love how the whole room shakes and red lights start filling the room. The space walk sound design and music is absolutely brilliant.
-
I've actually been listening to Deep Stone Lullaby while studying.
-
1 Reply*plays 3rd encounter for the 15th time with my dumbass friends* That One Dude: "HOLY SHIT GUYS I THINK THE SPACE STATION IS CRASHING"
-
Me and my clan been loving it. Plan of doing it a couple times weekly.
-
It's meh
-
Its not fun.
-
Meh. It’s ight.
-
I liked it. As a newer raider, it was simply enough to understand, but it may take a try or two to get it down.
-
1 ReplyIt’s ok. It’s fun, it’s not Last Wish level good but it’s also not Garden of Grass level bad. I got the rocket drop today. It’s kinda cool, sadly it’s not boss dps weapon.
-
4 RepliesGood, yes. Brilliant, no. Yes the music and encounters are very good. But nothing new or game changing.
