Unfairly Banned
please upvote if you see this
I was permanently banned from “Destiny 2” 47 days ago as of today, November 22, 2020. I have taken the time to write a detailed explanation of what may have led to the ban and what had occurred.
About a month ago I learned that there were ways to mod the popular game “Among Us” to add more capabilities to the game and make it more interesting. I decided to do this with my friends in a private lobby, so as to not interfere with any players, other than my friends. We were all under the impression that it was “safe” to do so as many people were doing it at the time. I proceeded to download an DLL injector called “Extreme Injector v3.0” in order to mod “Among Us.” It was until one day I forgot to close Destiny 2 and played a modded version of “Among Us” with my friends using the DLL injector. I was permanently banned the next day from “Destiny 2” without explanation and was confused as to why I was banned. I then proceeded to find an explanation as to why and read through the “Code of Conduct” which in return said that having ANY software open such as: virtual machines, emulators, or cheating software would result in a ban. I had not known that just having it open, not even affecting the game, could result in disciplinary actions and have since deleted any software that could cause these same problems in other games. I have learned from my mistake and will ensure this never happens again
I had no intention of modifying or harming this game as I have always supported this game and its efforts to keep its players safe and the game fair for everyone. I would appreciate it if you could reply so I can know if there is still a chance to get my account back and if not, at the very least get closure. I have always loved this game and it would break my heart to lose my account. However, if you still feel I am a problem or a threat to the game I will understand.

Extreme injector will always cause a ban regardless of the game it’s used for. Your pc is your responsibility so it was not an unfair ban. Rip your 150 hour account

Unfortunately in these cases unawareness of the policies you've agreed on (upon accessing the game) does not exempt you from the penalties that result from breaking those policies.

The problem is that there is no proof to what you claim, you could have been attempting to cheat in Destiny, got caught and concocted this explanation to try to wriggle out of it. Or you could be telling the truth, but there is no way to prove it and regardless the Terms of Service are what they are, and they are that way to help deal with any grey areas like this. The ToS states you cannot have any of these types of programs running at the same time as Destiny. You did. You cannot claim innocence as it was your choice to skip the ToS and just 'Agree' without reading it. Take this as a lesson learned. Its harsh, but thats life. It doesn't get any easier.

It's well known that merely having software on your PC that is detected by anticheat can and will end up in a ban They won't waste resources (nor should they) on identifying and singling out every single cheat engine, trainer, code injector etc that targets destiny itself as this would be too easy to circumvent and is not time/cost efficient or effective. A blanket ban for detected software is effective and easy to implement and works better and faster.

2 RepliesEven if your story here holds true, I'm sorry to say this, but I doubt that the decision will get overturned. I'm not sure what your financial situation is like, but for future reference, I think it'd best to get 2 different rigs, or at least make 2 different accounts on your PC. You use one for "funny business" that isn't malicious in nature, like say downloading cosmetic mods, or heavily change/add to the game in a single-player/closed environment only just to add some variety. I think a great and recent example of this is people making "new" monsters and new aesthetic options all the time in Monster Hunter: World on PC, adding more potential challenge or ways to play(whether it's balanced or not), as well as unique effects and weapon/armor designs(solely cosmetic) that will still get introduced long after the devs call it a wrap. Meanwhile the other one is as clean as freshly done laundry, at least as far as gaming is concerned.

6 RepliesI don’t buy it. You were likely cheating at some point. If you cheat in 1 online game I hope you get banned from all online games. I wish steam would just IP ban computers that cheat in any game, from all games.

6 RepliesSo you had software on your PC that directly manipulated the process memory of a legitimate game breaking i'm pretty sure their TOS to tweak things in away that was never indented. Even if, and this is a big if, bc if you're willing to do it in one game, i'm almost certain you'd be willing to do it in other, but even if you never did the same in Destiny, i'd say justice was served regardless. Play games as they were indented, otherwise, have your shit banned. You'll get no sympathy here as this game has been plagued with cheaters for awhile now.
