F2P Players are in a terrible state
Can I just say that removing a lot of content is good... for the players who paid for the dlcs.
Think about it F2P lost all of their raids, they only have some cosmodrome stuff all of the planetary world drops and all strikes / pvp maps.
Let’s pretend you are a Free to play player
Everyone is saying that you should buy shadowkeep and forsaken. So you end up buying both of them (that’s 60$).
You buy them and play them, only to realize that the only loot you can use in endgame activities are the raid weapons.
You then realize you wasted 60$ on content that can no longer be used in endgame stuff but at least you got the raids right?
Back to what I was saying,
Bungie should either make forsaken and shadowkeep free, or they should just lower the prices, because most of the weapons and armor that you get from buying those dlcs is useless.
the same thing will happen when people buy beyond light in a year from now, none of the weapons will be of any use

F2p is a relief to me. I used to grind hours a day. After Bungie took back content that I paid for I stopped paying. Now I get my Destiny fix without FOMO or the crazy grind. None of my gear has any value so I don’t care if they nerf it or remove it. They’ll replace it with a clone and pretend that it’s new. I just laugh at Luke when his ego gets out control. He needs my money and he ain’t getting it.

F2P's don't have much room to complain. You're playing a free trial of the game.

Who cares what freeloaders think. If it’s that big of a deal the can pony up the cash, it’s not that much at all. F2P should go away

First of all, by being free to play, you aren't benefitting bungie in any way, they need money to make content, so if you never pay for content, then why the hell should they give you more? If you're just leeching off their free stuff and never helping them grow you genuinely don't deserve that much.

Free to play has ruined a lot of the game for people who actually paid. It has literally been the worse decision the company has ever made in regards to how they treat their community. It opened the game up for cheaters and also gave Bungie good reason to stop adding things to the game like vendor refreshes.

The game is designed so that they entry point to the game is free....and so that people can take a break from teh game and comeback. The point isn't to provide people with this endless fountain of things to do, that Bungie doesn't get paid for producing. Especially when doing so requires that the game carry content that is bloating the game, causing game design and maintenance problems....and is causing the game to run poorly on consoles.

F2P players are just playing in Trail/Demo mode nothing more. Any expectations that you should have access to everything is abhorrent to reasonable, sane thinking. Most people don't even use, on a regular basis, raid weapons at all. Granted there are a couple of rare exceptions and really not needed for most non-endgame activity. So basically all you F2P players who want everything as in all activities, all weapons, all armor, all ornaments, all shaders, all this that and the all of that note that all Bungie wants is a single simple credit card number. There problem solved. Now here's your sucker go outside and play!

Your TED talk completely falls with your f2p header. Your f2p. FREE!!! This is how companies work. Play the free game then when you want to do more you buy the new dlc. You can't get something for free that everyone just paid for.

So you want more of the game free and turn around and complain that there isn’t much to do? Or like others, complain that Bungie isn’t making any new content. Yet didn’t spend a dime on the game? So how does Bungie pay its employees, operating cost, etc. Another complaint that is classic is Eververse. Everything is too expensive. You know what would fix all this? No more season pass and just release a new game every few years. Then you have to spend $60+ for the game. And all that armor/weapons/skins/etc. Yep you guessed it - all gone. Won’t transfer to the new game. Don’t like the format, cost, company. Then don’t play, buy, or post of forum. Bungie never looks on here, they are still making a profit, and player base is decent. They have no reason to change anything as of now. Plenty of new games in the sea.

New light is to meant to be a cheap way to play on cross save or a cheap way to try the game or play some parts for free permanently. New light isn't meant to supplement cheap or broke gamers.

Btw, I just bought the expansion pass for the Outer Worlds at $24.99 a few days ago and I have to say it's waaay more content than what Bungie's released. So, it's cheaper. It has a lot more content and I'm still not done with it yet!

11 RepliesBit short for a TED but... Also F2P are now effectively shut out from PvP which is now P2W. Additionally when people say F2P they assume "freeloaders" but of course all the players who bought any or all of the previous expansions are having the same treatment: much of the activities, locations, missions, rewards and loot are removed or else made useless. It's extremely unethical behaviour from Bungie on this.
