Running in a virtual machine
I was looking to move to linux because all of the other games I play are supported on it and it is generally safer than windows. I also know however that destiny 2 will likely never get a linux release so I was wondering if it was also bannable to play destiny 2 in a virtual machine of windows as well.

It is bannable as far as Bungie is aware as a virtual machine is considered an emulator and Linux isn’t directly supported for the game. If you are considering playing you would need a windows dedicated machine.
