For real the only Transgender character in the whole universe is an evil Hive Sociopath.
Just saying if the Light can bring back the dead, why can't it help a trans-Lightbearer? Hmm?

Actually...that’s about the right number. Trans are a extremely small percentage nationally. It would be excessive representation to make more. But hey, Oryx might come back. So call it 1.5 if he does?

3 RepliesBecause all of this have nothing to do with shooting aliens with space magic. And im pretty sure the lore was about st14 and osiris being brother in arms. But hey, its IMPORTANT to change the lore for that. Its definitely going to change everything.

There is no words for how much I dislike it

8 RepliesIt's a game character. There should only be male and female

3 RepliesYou don't need representation in everything. You literally make up just a speck of the population. And believe me, not everyone is excited about homosexual relationships in video games. A lot of us understand this is nothing more than forced diversity because Bungie is obsessed with SJWs and bowing to the mob. Play the game, and put your big boy underwear, or panties, or whatever you wear on.

With all the storylines of guardians who fall in love with each other I wonder how it now works. I mean, you forget about everything in you past from when you’re brought back. It’s like a fresh start right? Does the ghost instil in is how to feel again? Our emotions? How do we learn about it all again. Did those who had no remorse before, suddenly develop the capacity to after? How does this all correlate to romantic feelings? With the clean slate, were these romantical identities for before they became guardians, or ones that developed free from outside interference or prejudice, born of true love for the other guardians without sexual desires? The same would go for gender identities. All of it intertwines. Would totally like to see lore, background, and at least 1 trans guardian in the game. Sure there would be those who wouldn’t, but I’d upvote for it. Of course I look at all this probably to scientifically and intellectual from the whys and hows. Too much sociology and classes of the like in university. 🤷🏼♂️

I personally am non binary and at the time of Oryx's and TTK release I identified differently. I really liked (still do) Oryx a lot and thought it was so awesome to have a character I really liked (he's my 2nd favourite character) being trans. I would like to have other trans characters, I see your point. But I also don't like how people are quick to shut down Oryx mainly since he was like the one of last characters that were really well written. I understand that other people have differing opinions, however.

4 RepliesEdited by RoachB0nd: 11/30/2020 9:52:24 PMI have an opinion that will not change and I will ignore official canon: Osiris and saint-14 are brothers just like Marcus and dom from gears of war.

3 RepliesMost Exo don't seems to have any genitalia on the base frame and the body doesn't exactly have to be either male or female to hold its ... Subject ? So non-canonnically a bunch of exo could be trans we just don't know.

1 ReplyThere are also no confirmed Autistic characters but I am sure they will get around to adding in representation personally I hope it’s not just introducing a character and that the introduction isn’t just “this is blank they are/have blank” I am hoping for something where the actually show the struggle of the characters like the House of revelries quest from ESO or Rell from Warframe.

6 RepliesHas anyone else realized that there is a large majority of characters in destiny that are either completely asexual, in that there sexuality never comes up (which is fine), or the character is gay. Learning today that Osiris and Saint are gay lovers honestly made me roll my eyes for the millionth time at this game. Stop injecting needless "diversity" into your game. Time after time I see articles talking about how "Bungie announced today that xyz is gay". If you have to make a separate announcement outside of the game just to let us know a characters sexual preference, maybe it isn't something that is relevant at all. Especially if you don't convey that in a meaningful way through the story or the characters' actions. I don't know if anyone has done an official count of all the gay characters in destiny, but it far out weighs straight characters. I thought diversity was supposed to include everyone, well I don't feel represented or included at all when nearly every scientist or badass is a women and almost all interesting male characters are gay. Don't even get me started on "where are the white people". It is not lost on me that this is a fictional world, and ultimately Bungie should be able to tell their story how they wish. But I'm curious if anyone else has come to the conclusion that I have, because I suspect that they are making many of their player base feel like "other" simply to prop up a small fraction of the human population, not to mention humanity was reduced to like 100,000 people and some how we have 90,000 gay characters. Anyway, hope everyone stays safe. - BM

7 RepliesEdited by Lore Oradon: 12/1/2020 2:01:17 AMOryx isn't Female anymore. And you can't convert A Human View point of Trans to a Species that has the Ability to change it's gender down to the DNA. *Last I checked Humans aren't capable of Changing thier DNA. There's literally a Species of Frog that can do that. And in the Jurassic Park movie Explained that when a Species faces Extinction (AKA, that Frog/The Hive) can change it's DNA to Lay Eggs, then back to Male to create more kin. At the Beginning, the Thrall, and Acolytes have no Gender. It's when they become either a Knight or Witch they then assume that Role of Male or Female. Savaithun, became the First Mother. Xivu became the first Knight.(Still confused on why she stayed as a Female, if any have a Lore Explanation, not a "well I think" I'll hear it.) Oryx became the god/Taken King So in short, Oryx is/was 100% Male, down to the DNA. Refer to * for why, if missed first time. PS. Female Rulers aren't Kings, there Queen's. Taken King(Male) Taken Queen (Female) (I have nothing Against Trans,LGBTQ or anything, just providing Explanation as the Hive are made from the View of Frog like Beings, and adding a Humans View of Trans, doesn't connect or Match, or make Sense) Looking up "Trans/Transgender" dose not match Oryx, as he "Evolved" to become "Oryx, the Taken King" Edit: Oryx the Taken King would be considered a Hermaphrodite.

1 ReplyHow do you know know there are no trans Guardians? Are you going around giving them all the touch-test to see if the ladies have something extra? 😂
-
5 RepliesI'll be honest, I don't give a flying bahookie what your sexuality is. That's your business. And I really don't give two hoots about the sexuality of any characters in game. It's not something that is in the least bit relevant to any aspect of the game. SJW virtue signalling should not be part of gaming. Just my opinion.

I’m not excited.

2 RepliesWhen you seek externally to fix your internal struggles by forcing your internal on others; this is wrong Seek within for a happy place ; then no matter what you face externally is irrelevant There is zero respect or care for changing what has always been to suit anyones feelings Starting a brand new page with you in mind is where the respect begins

1 ReplyThe character Oryx/Auryx has absolutely nothing to do with transgenders. The definition of transgender is to identify yourself as a different gender, that was not what she did. She switched the gender to serve a purpose and not because she wanted to identify as a male. It's also worth noting that compared to humans, the hive can actually biologically switch genders. I respect everyones opinion and I respect bungie to support every group in society. But video games follow their own logic and should in no way be responsible to fight for every social group.

I want my guardian to have a beard and long luscious eyelashes Bungie!

2 RepliesP.S. They changed the male and female options to masculine and feminine So technically speaking...

20 RepliesAre we encouraging representation or ticking the boxes? Adding a transgender character just for the sake of adding one does nothing, it's more insulting then anything because it shows that Bungie views it as an after thought And let's never use Oryx as a rep for transgenders. Transitioning is a positive thing, for people who want to find who they really are. Oryx is an absolute monster, an abusive father, and a tyrant unworthy to even be considered on the list of transgender characters in media
