1. Posting when and where you are having FPS issues in the game First of all, I don't have an issue with the framerate being lower, yes the framerate is a little lower due to the new effects etc, but I don't have a problem with that. I have been playing Destiny 2 since it was launched, using Gsync and it has generally been a smooth experience, except for a gsync framerate slowdown bug at public events that you eventually fixed in the past. Since Beyond Light, I am seeing random stutters everywhere in the game (Except the character selection screen and Orbit). Thinking back to March 2020, you released an update.. Since around that date I found every time I went to The Tower the game stuttered when Gsync was enabled (every few seconds a stutter), turning Gsync off and setting Vsync to 72fps in the game fixed it. An odd issue and it was never fixed. If you Google "Destiny 2 stuttering at the tower" you will see what I'm talking about. The thing is, Since Beyond Light, even If I turn off Gsync, the game still stutters when the fps drops by 1,2,3,4,5fps. Is it my pc? I'm able to achieve a high framerate, even after beyond light. My game is able to hold 100fps with the occasional drop to 99, 95, 97fps. The big issue here is when the fps drops just a tiny amount, even -1fps, the screen judders and a tiny micro freeze occurs. If I cap the game to 75fps, the same happens, it drops to 74, 72, 71fps and stutters. Capping the game does not help, the framerate still drops a tiny amount and stutters. This did not happen prior to Beyond Light. 2. Quitting out of all open apps and browsers while playing to see if there are any improvements Done. Reinstalled Windows 10 2h02 today, did not install anything other than Steam. 3. Since March 2020 I logged in one day and started to see unusual stuttering in The Tower (only the tower), my framerate was unaffected but every few seconds, randomly, the screen would stutter. As a Gsync user I felt those stutters massively as my eyes are used to smooth gameplay. I googled "Stuttering in the tower" and found others were reporting it too. I followed every problem solving step related to Destiny 2 I could find on the internet, but nothing helped, except disable Gsync. Was you testing some code in the Tower back then that you eventually moved over to Beyond Light? These stutters seem tied to the framerate, because If I cap the game and the framerate drops even a few fps below the cap, the game stutters.
