Why does a RAID exotic do 50% less damage to RAID bosses
Like seriously? I get it’s to balance it but that’s way over the top. It completely kills its use in any endgame content as it can barely keep up with a legendary rocket launcher. Amazing exotic but very disappointed with the reduction against bosses.

It's all bosses but theres plenty of buffs to circumvent that down side.

2 RepliesMost weapons do. Raid enemies have about 30-40% damage reduction. You can easily see that by testing damage in the raid and outside of the raid with the same weapons.

1 Replylook at how its intended for use. It targets 6 enemies at once so bungie intended it for add clear as well as tankier targets. wardcliff deals 75% less damage to bosses but its also ment for add clear not boss damage.

See below... ...and also, the Sandbox team has a bias against rocket launchers. I think someone has this notion that they are a weapon that "lack skill". So they have made all of them underpowered and difficult to use...in order to discourage their use. Had you noticed that tracking rocket launchers are the only weapon in the game that enemies have the ability to **dodge**?? I find this annoying, because its a huge waste of limited development resources. To go to the effort of making entire weapon classes...only to have them tuned in a way that discourages anyone from using. them.

Yeah I was juiced to get it, but it's honestly pretty meh. To call it Gally 2.0 is just nonsense. Gally was lethal in every scenario. The only place this gun is really any good in is gambit. It's too slow a shot for crucible, and doesn't do enough dmg in pve in my opinion

They may buff it, look what they did with the xenophage. It was utter crap when it first came out, now it's meta for a few raid scenarios. Bungie are very cautious now days when it comes to most new weapons on release, they don't want the pinnacle weapon meta days again I think.

Because we got Rockets Nerfed into the ground at Crota. 5 ledge monkeys and One Sword Guy. Then we did it again with Riven and Cluster bombs. They want you to get up in their faces with Swords so you everyone can complain about every boss having a slam mechanic. Except for Taniks. He slams but swords are a no go there. Enjoy!

lol I think that rocket launcher was made just to troll in PVP content. Especially in Gambit. Army of One medal in 1 rock volley when targets are nowhere near each other = balanced fun gameplay.

Because Bungie is afraid of a new end all be all weapon like Ghorn Lament and Guillotine are already more powerful than the beloved horn though ,so they already have that problem -

3 RepliesDisappointing sure but they probably did it to prevent have gally or kick. Well instead we got have lament or kick now but thats a 1 hour quest and very easy to get meanwhile that rocket still didn't drop for me after 6 chances.

It’s pretty pog in nightfalls tho. Big burst damage from far away. I doubt it’ll replace izi/guillotine combo tho

Could've at least made it do normal rocket damage to bosses. Sure I would double as great add clear and solid damage...but that's what a rocket should be in the first place.

3 RepliesI got EoT on my third run and everyone expects my dps to be the best (it usually is but not because of the rocket). I have to explain that it is extremely situational and I use it more and more for mass ad clearing. In a majority of situations a sword, shotgun, or sniper is better. I still love it for it's sheet absurdity, but I get why it is the way it is currently. We don't need another Gjallahorn/Whisper crutch. I'm currently concerned Lament is a little too good. Maybe buff other swords not named Lament or Guillotine so they're almost comparable? Just a thought.
