Hello. The "servers are not available" message indicates that you are experiencing connection issues of some kind that is happening between you and Destiny 2. This may be an ISP issue.
Below are suggestions to help resolve the issue:
1. A wired connection is recommended to play Destiny, and if your connection is being used for other things when playing the game, such as streaming, it's recommended to quit those programs.
2. Clearing your console cache or, if on PC, verify the integrity of your game files.
3. Power cycling your internet router
4. Review Bungie’s guide on improving latency and packet loss to see if that might help
5. Following Bungie’s Network Troubleshooting Guide for best optimizing your connection to Destiny. If issues persist, try their Advanced Steps Networking Guide for possible router solutions, such as enabling UPnP. You may also want to enable IPV6 on your router if you have it.
6. This player found a solution that involves installing new network driver
7. You may want to change your DNS server on your console to Google's Nameservers (8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4.)
8. Contact your internet service provider to see if there are any issues with your connection.
Edited by Cyrus20L: 11/30/2020 4:32:12 AMHope all is well and you all are safe. I come to you because i ran out of solutions on the same problem as it seems many others are having. On Friday past week I was connected and did a couple of NFs. Now, since Saturday I keep getting the destiny servers not available message, 2 days already and keeps ongoing. Went through all of the steps provided in the forum guides, I contacted my ISP, I did reset my router and reconfigured it, I even restored licenses, flushed the DNS, released the IP, and renewed it. Connected the ps even to my cellphone data and still the same problem. Tried other games and I'm able to play online on every single one of them. Everything seems to be ok, but it's just destiny the one that is not allowing me to play. I have tried everything and can't seem to find the solution. Out of ideas on what can be. Would appreciate some help or anything you think that might help, would be gratefully appreciated. Because for all the other games to work and just destiny is not connecting. And yeah im wired.

Bungie is using peer to peer servers instead of a dedicated server like every other decent mmo game. Who knows why, maybe they’re cheap, lazy or just don’t care about quality. Either way that’s why they keep saying it’s the buyers isp not their problem. At some point the responsibility is on them. I had zero problems before the server maintenance stoppage on 11/24. I can’t contact their servers since. If i had known they cut corners and were using a garbage server system I probably wouldn’t have given them money. Having garbage servers doesn’t excuse garbage customer service as well.

This guy is just copying and pastaing this message mainly. IT IS Bungie's messed up servers not our own internet, I haven't been able to log in for 8 DAYS forcing me to miss day/ week 1. At this point I'm going to just force chargebacks for BL and Silver.

Agreed Sector, been seeing the exact message on all the others reporting the same problem. Big mess and it seems that they just don't care. On another post I saw a comment --- You will need to wait until the issue resolves itself --- with all the respect but oooh man, that's just wrong on so many levels.

Good job replying to this but not the rest. These did not resolve the majority of the other player's who posted saying they cannot connect. The more players that are posting this the more I'm believing that this isn't our ISP, this is something from Bungie's end lmao. But of course now you won't reply aha
