Not only has it been a highly requested thing since Destiny 1, I think it’s even more relevant now since a lot of people’s characters have been completely altered after Beyond Light launched.
Even if it were one time for each character, a lot of people would be happy with the chance to edit them without having to delete and completely start over.

I'd buy an appearance mod for 500 silver per character. Considering how often people I know change their PSN... Bungie could be swimming in the monies if they did this.
-
2 RepliesEasy option, and one Bungie would consider as MONEY!! They should let you alter your character whenever you feel like for 700 Silver. Obviously, for players who were playing before Beyond Light should get the first one free as it's not our fault Bungie messed up the characters. After that though, charge 700 Silver per cosmetic surgery. It's what ESO does with Crowns.

18 RepliesThere's a reason why I never remove my helmet.......
-
I've been sending the exact same feedback. I created a harsh negative forum post on NeoGaf and Reddit and players seem to agree with my post. It's quite sad that 90% of players are using their helmet as default in the settings. It shows quite the bad game design, unfortunately. So much for player expression. If only things were like Monster Hunter World, sigh. Customize your character's facial appearance at any time. Rewatch cutscenes in a gallery with different armor, etc.

1 ReplyWhat bothers me is how they went ahead and basically “changed” them for us by messing around with the presets. Now my Exo’s cranial unit looks entirely different than before and I never asked for that, wtf.
-
9 RepliesI want this to happen. My warlock (who is female) now looks like Zavala.
-
Welcome to manslave2variks “deleted his titan so you don’t have to”
trust me the 2 new hairs and markings aren’t worth asking for an edit they need to overhaul for us glamor guardians just sayin
1 ReplyCan't monetize character customization...or they haven't figured it out yet. My guess when they do they'll be selling hair styles, piercings, tattoos on the silver shop. Put lots behind pay walls.
-
Here's a funny thing. My character is a white human man. Ever since beyond light, the following happened. My voice was replaced by a exo voice... My characters body shape was replaced to something worse. My character in game is referred to as a exo. I want this to change so I can make my character as I was back in d1. A friend has a female awoken. Voice was replaced by a exo. What the -blam!- is going on.
-
My Titan looks like a woman now. Helmet stays on. He's like a Mandalorian he never removes it.
-
Hey, if you’re referring to the character customisation itself there is no current way to change or alter any of it. Unfortunately my advice is to wait for such a feature however, nothing has been announced The only official way is to delete the character and reset. Thanks. This is what one person said on my similar post.

Edited by Mandolarian5588: 11/29/2020 10:41:55 PMMy warlock looked like young adult know looks like kid what the heck bungie I thought you said could change character face without delete?
-
Just charge 10$ of silver. Make Eva Levante the vendor
-
Right, you made my human titan look too young now, and my awoken warlock looks like a child got dropped in a vat of blue paint, the only one that still looks normal is my exo hunter who I made look like Cayde. Also, not to discriminate, but the 'inclusive' change to the gender description wasn't necessary.

Edited by Starfall Shadow: 11/29/2020 8:44:04 PMMy warlock used to look so friendly. Now she has resting b!tch face.

1 ReplyI guess next will be a trans option
-
Hopefully this happens when transmog is implemented.

I had to remake my d1 male hunter because they changed him from very dude like to looking like a 13 year old girl in the face

1 ReplyIt absolutely makes the game more fun, to look the way you want to look, or to change how you’re character looks after a major event. These things will usually make me want to continue playing a game even after I’ve beaten it (or in the case of destiny, found all the loot I want) just for the fact that the character looks cool in cutscenes or whenever I want to see them. It just so happens that destiny tends to be fairly fun to play already (as a shooter), but character editing would make it even better. For those who like to role play in their head what their character says or the expressions they would make, having the character match more closely to how you imagine them adds a lot of value, imo. Maybe it’s a bit of a personal thing, but I love the idea of a salon or some such character editor in the game.

3 RepliesTo be honest, this change does not make the game any more fun. I think we need to focus our feedback on things that will make the game more fun. Such as adding different pvp game modes like capture the flag. Something that will give us something fun to do after we’ve completed all of the grinding and collecting after a DLC drops.

You are SO correct! My Titan - who used to have an open, handsome face - is now a scowling gargoyle who has been made to look as if he's just bit into a lemon. He's so ugly he now keeps his helmet on at all times...
-
1 ReplyI’m so confident they won’t That I deleted and remade all my d1 characters just so I could take off the helmet
-
1 ReplyI'm still wondering why my 2017 me chose the punk hairstyle. Give me the option to change it.
-
I would like to have free editing of our guardians, facial, race and gender. Any time at no cost.
-
1 ReplyEdited by ZeroTwo: 11/28/2020 9:01:17 PMI'd really like to edit my character, ever since the change they made all my 3 characters have the same eyes colors and face when they previously didn't which sucks!
-
13 RepliesThey say its coming in the future. Patience and time my friend.
