I'm not sure if this would work but I think the Red War, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind campaigns should be available through DLC.
From what I know (which could be wrong) they removed the DLCs to make room for new content, so I propose they have DLCs that you can download that include the required planets to play the campaigns that were removed.
For example if you download the Red War DLC you will be downloading Titan, Nessus, and Io. (Also The Almighty and The Peregrine District but I'm not sure if that counts)
And if that does happen they should remove the tutorial missions from the Red War campaign.
Just want to clarify I mean as a free DLC not paid.

1 ReplyEdited by AubsTheBelieber: 11/27/2020 10:21:40 PMSo from Aztecross who was at a 8 hour meeting between Bungie and Streamers it was said by Bungie that they acknowledged we suffer cause they use old tools that take forever, and the way things were built was short sighted. That means when they have a bug it takes so long cause they have to break EVERYTHING down, and rebuild it. What I don't get is if you are claiming you need to take everything way to build it a better, different way, didn't you have that opportunity already the many times you had to "rebuild stuff" to fix bugs? Why when you had bugs and had to redo everything from scratch, would you remake everything the same way where you have to be in the same mess over and over again? They also did need to take planets away to do this. They can build things in an engine without taking things from the live game. Example: They worked on Beyond Light on their computers without needing the active Destiny world to lose things? They want to limit the responsibilities of their jobs to a point where being lazy can look like they are doing something. Example: Sunsetting, yet all the old weapons taken away are in the new loot pools.

Unfortunately they won’t do that because they’re pretty -blam!-ing clueless on how MMOs work. They literally believe MMOs remove content every year. Honestly, it’s a great reason to not pay for expansions because they will be rendered useless and unplayable in a year or so. The reason they removed is because they spaghetti coded everything in the game and think removing it would be easier when in actuality it takes more effort to remove shit from code than to fix/re-code it.

4 RepliesUnfortunately that’s not how saves work. The game has a set amount of content able to be inside of it at any given time and they removed older content so they could bring in new things without overwhelming the server files. (Easily avoidable by ditching console players but they wouldn’t do that)
-
You clearly don’t understand why that content was removed. The game would run like shit if it hasn’t been. It is gone and won’t come back unless other content is removed.

1 Replynot that i really liked the whole DCV thing; i don't think you understand how assets work and the reason they had to take things out...

2 RepliesNever gonna happen game will be too big
-
12 RepliesHow about this? Add a few of those worlds to Destiny 1. Fix a few things since edge grab wasn't a thing then.
-
2 RepliesMain reason they took them away is because the game is getting too big. Defeats the purpose if they do this
-
6 RepliesYea I’d prefer my game to run as fast as it has been and not have those. Problem with your suggestion is just having it as an add on doesn’t change fact that they would be expected to support it. Supporting it means testing it and making sure new stuff doesn’t break it and issuing fixes for it. All for a minimal number of people who use it. Those planets that went away when put together are less than Nessus in size so we aren’t missing much.

4 Replies"Free" Not sure Bungie know what that word means.

Edited by TJ_Dot: 11/28/2020 2:08:10 AMI think the crucial part you're missing here is that the game doesn't install DLC like a map pack or something that the game actually needs to download in order for it to even build said stuff to play. Everything is in all at once, whether you buy it or not. All you do is buy access. Live Service game and what not So, they literally can't do this. Not even trying to buzzkill, it's just the reality of it.
-
They literally just removed them why would they bring them back again straight away?
-
6 RepliesAnd give a point to the people that say "bungie will re-sell old content"? Hell no.
-
5 RepliesYeah I would even be willing to pay for some of the removed content - wait a minute..... *light bulb Well played bungie. 😛

What's the point of removing the content to then release that same content as a dlc. If the locations return it will be for other reasons than the campaign.

2 RepliesEdited by vitisku1: 11/27/2020 3:31:02 PMHow would that possibly work? The only way to make that at all feasible would be to have it as a completely standalone game. The whole point of any live service is that everybody is playing playing the same version on current update build.
