Hey Bungie, can you please add patch notes and relative announcements in the game rather than Twitter? Not everyone has Twitter nor wants it. Bad enough I have to use this app or others to do anything peer related in-game.
And no your little weekly announcements "what's up this week" isn't sufficient.
In case you are wondering my anger is about the stasis progression quests... Apparently you can't switch fragment quests without waiting for the weekly reset. No where in game is this even remotely clear. Guess I get to wait a week to make any more progress! Yay. Sometimes Bungie, you do cool things, other times... not so much.

1 ReplyYou've come on to the site/app to write this. The patch notes are on this site. You don't need twitter, just use what you're already using.

Having a news (and known issues) section in the Launcher would be a good thing. I also never understood why the Game can't be more clear what's up when you start it. When there is a scheduled or unscheduled downtime, insert a line in the Game launcher about it. The "Destiny 2 Servers not available, check this and that website" is last Century. How about a "the downtime starts at XX:XX and ends at XX:XX"? I do not want to use Twitter to know what is up with the Game I want to play. The Game should tell me.

They've had more in-game announcements after BL than any other season so far. The known issues list is huge, there's no way they would put the whole thing before every log-in.

3 RepliesThey have had several in-game banners since Beyond Light launched with updates about Trials/Witherhoard, Nightfall and Moon bounties, and what you needed to do before starting the Season of the Hunt story mission.
-
We already have obnoxious banners that take up our entire screen and you want to add more crap lol?
-
Logged on today and saw a note about the strangers quest... see there? Perfect example of what you should do for ALL known issues... not very difficult.

1 ReplyBungie has always preferred ambiguity over being straight forward with their customers.

2 RepliesIt's all in this app you are using 🤷♂️😂

2 RepliesEdited by Dopefriik: 11/25/2020 12:12:05 PMThey should do this. Publishing the patch notes on their site in a timely manner would be a good start, publishing them beforehand would be better still. As for your issue regarding the stasis quest, this is in the known issues sticky in #help and I’m pretty sure it has been since the beginning of the season. I’m not saying you should have known this already, I’m just signposting something that players would be wise to check once in a while.

Would be nice to have a lot of things ingame.....(loadouts, lfg, social chat for console) I have to rely on Bungie.net for updates and feedback as I don't have any social media at all, no Twitter, no Discord, no Facebook or Instagram etc and it's glorious. The amount I hear people wasting their lives on that garbage is sadly laughable. We have even had to let people go at work due to their extensive social media addiction. I won't even allow my kids to have it, they can maybe when they are 16 if they are doing well at school.

Wonder what it must be like to literally never look at these things. Completely ignore the flash on the build icon, just jumping straight in.

1 ReplyWarframe always has the patch notes located on a terminal in your ship. Bungie should have a button or something to see the notes as well.

You don’t even have to have your own Twitter account to check patch notes from Bungie.
