Felwinter problem

Bungie, is it possible to make felwinter available for everyone or take it out of the game completely. I do realize that it took you 2 years to nerf mountaintop, please don't take another 2 to nerf felwinter. I played a total of 3 comp matches in a row and all the teams I went against all had felwinter equipped in the special slot; furthermore, control is also full of them running ramparts and making insane range shots's. This problem is also further aggravated by the fact that there is no way to obtain it nowadays, no quest, mission, dungeon, raid, nothing. Not even from the new "DestinyContentVault". Therefore, you as a company are punishing players for not having played earlier, or having missed out on an event for a current meta weapon. Which brings me to my last point, the new light players. How is it possible for them to get invested in your PVP system when they get beaten by a weapon with overloaded stats and not by a player's skill? Recently, I tried to introduce some friends to destiny 2, in particular PVP. We did the main campaign and they loved it (really good job :D), then we did some strikes, and lastly, concluded the night with some old fashioned PVP. We did the first match and we lost, but we had fun and it was nice to see a different variety in load-outs and a few felwinters (but it was cool). The next match was won and the one after that, but as we continued playing (losing and winning matches), the number of felwinters increased on our team and the enemies. Two of us played shottie (me and one of my friends) while the second one friend played sniper. Due to my friend having a blue or a purple nonrelevant shotgun (perks and stats), he was outranged by every person that used it. While the sniper user couldn't do anything when pushed by a felwinter user due to the weapon being broken, ruining both of their experiences in PVP.
