58 is NOT high stat roll armor
the new empire hunts, master specifically, said GUARANTEED high stat roll armor. all 3 of my pieces rolled 58 total, add that to the 58 raid gear I'm receiving. yet BUYING season pass gets you 65+ and the dirty engram I found off a dead red bar dreg gave me 63. Empire hunts gonna die out real fast if thats the best they can offer

I've been wondering about armor stats this season. Now that the raid is out it seems clear that armor isn't worth chasing this season. It's a shame - I banked a ton of MW mats last season in anticipation of new, worthwhile armor and seasonal mods. Makes me sad that there doesn't seem to be any set worth keeping long term.

Yeah really tired of this low stat garbage. They need to just get rid of anything under a 65. There is no reason anybody, hardcore, pvp, casual or whatever has to wear crap armor this low.

3 RepliesSo I was thinking about this yesterday. Is high stat roll supposed to mean high overall number or a few high individual stats? Ex: is a high stat roll of 72 with 12 in each stat considered a high stat roll or is a 58 with 25 intellect and everything else low considered a high stat roll?

1 ReplyI almost never give a piece of armor a second look if its stat total isn't 60+. I'll make an occasional exception if the stat distribution on a piece happens to top off a few stat tiers, but even then those pieces are usually 57 at minimum, and I consider that on the high end of low stat rolls. Anything lower than 60 without a useful stat distribution isn't worth keeping.

The armor is only good for the triumphs where you have to wear at least 4 pieces. After that you might as well dismantle the armor.

I used the same mod in the Wrathborn hunt to get a higher stat armor and got a 48 lol.

Hell 60+ was mega rare. The issue though was it was so rare they have now done 2 updates for "improved" armor stat rolls. the first was to make high point value drop more often, the second was an update that gave armor a better chance of a dogpiled/compressed stat. Its Highly likely when they mean high stat their perspective is that of a new player when they wrote the description. This very important for bungie as it encourages players to buy the season pass which is a guarantee 60+ per piece point set. and since season content is no longer going away its likely intentionally done so placers cant get to much value out of wrathhunts. [b]DID YOU HONESTLY THINK BUNGIE WOULD GIVE YOU AN OUTLET FOR DECENT 60+ POINT GEAR?[/b]
