SO....Warlocks freeze other guardians for a second and a half, while Titans and Hunters have a 5 second freeze duration in crucible? In what world is that remotely fair?

Not a huge Crucible player myself, but seeing the glaring disadvantage will make me even a less frequent player. Thanks Bungie!

  • Let me just say as a very average crucible participant who refuses to spend forty bucks on BL, all the stasis crap is stupid. Freezing popsicles in crucible is the single worse addition to ANY game. I like the idea of slowing down movement and regeneration but HATE being statued. Finally, all the new supers are over-tuned. I guess they have to be to sell... But at bungies' glacially pace- old supers won't be returned until light fall. Seems like a long wait with no balance in sight.

    • After a warlock super freezes you they can insta-kill you a split second later. Its still relatively overpowered compared to the far more easily escapable hunter or titan super, and titans is just the worse..

    • The warlock melee was completely broken. If you want the range back, then it should slow and not freeze, period. Anyone complaining about the 1.5s new freeze duration being too much are clueless and ought to consider that optimal TTK on literally every weapon in the game is less than 1.5s. The melee is still a free kill now, just not at absurd range.

          • Because majority of streamers are hunter or titan mains along with 90% of the entire damn game. So they crap on warlocks again just like nova warp handheld etc.

              • Go check out the latest video by a hunter streamer. You will see the dude dodge, freeze and taunt frozen players. But that is not OP, apparently.

                    Bungie overreacted immensely on the Warlock nerf. Yes, I can see that a usable long range freeze melee would be strong in PvP, but turning it into complete dogshit in PvE and pretty meh in PvP was not the way to go. The shorter freeze time alone would have been enough. If need be, lower the freeze time in PvE too from 5 seconds to 3 or something, that would have been fine too, but nerfing range to half was bullshit.

                    • Hunter: throws super on one side of the map, super lasts for 30 sec roaming around cleaning respawns, while player goes to the other side of the map and profits from berserker and other damage boosts to one or two tap players. When hunter dies and respawns super is still active continuing the random cleaning. When hunter respawns again, super is still active and kills whoever thought: let me go back to that side of the map. Anyway, i’m back on top tree dawnblade, and it feels good.

                          Wtf are you talking about? Everyone have the same f-ing grenades. Titans can't freeze, Hunters, like always, have it easy mode with all the op and cool abilities, but you can't do anything about that, Bungie loves Hunters... Remember the "best for last"? LoL Or 'yall can go ask "/u/tomo" on reddit he's the sanbox lead on Bungie.

                              • The grenade changes affected all subclasses, Titan melee doesn’t freeze, hunter melee requires two melees to freeze someone. It’s not hard to understand

                                • Cute how Hunters and Titans act like a slowing effect wont kill you in crucible. Chances are, if you get tagged by that slowing effect they are going to shoot you dead before you can move back into cover.

                                  • Maybe because warlocks can INSTANTLY Freeze stuff. Hunters need 2 charges to freeze. Just a thought

                                    • You can kill any frozen guardian in a second and a half with any primary. The days of being able to sprint across the map with your shotgun to secure the kill are over.

                                      • I’m a warlock main and think it’s fair. The only thing annoying really is that they can thaw out faster than you can double melee them so you can’t get a shatter kill with the melee. I did the crucible quest for the last fragment today and had to use glacial grenades to get shatter kills and that’s a pain in the ass when the warlock doesn’t have a shatter ability.

                                      • Just wanna point out that the hunters melee only slows if you only use one out of the two and the opponent isn't effected by a grenade, if the want to freeze the opponent, the hunter has to either get a hit with both melee's or get hit with a melee and a duskfield for it to freeze. And titans melee ability only slows for small timer and sends the opponent flying
