Rat king and Wardcliff coil catalyst not dropping
I've played since year one. I was playing when the rat king catalyst dropped and the Wardcliff. I can inform you with 100% certainty that neither has dropped for me no matter how many strikes I've ran, with or without either exotic or friends using it too, and I want to sucker punch my screen at this point. Bungie, please. Please. It's been over a year. FIX THIS. ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY. I even contemplating going to bungie's studio to complain. This shit isn't funny. I'm tired of this. I'm downright exhausted, and I can't do it any more. Im not doing another strike until I know for a fact that they're gonna fix this, fk this.

It's RNG. Shitty RNG, but nothing you can do about it. It took me 5 seasons to get Suros and Vigilance Wing's catalysts even when I was on win streaks. My best advice is to just put it out of your mind and focus on other strike related grinds.

Rat King catalyst dropped for me last night doing 1180 nightfall so its not bugged, you're just unlucky
