Do not put the new raid exotic rocket launcher under RNG drop!!!
Make it obtaineable from a quest that related to that raid, like divinity.
I dont care how tough the quest will be but PLS do not make it RNG!!!

I don’t have a problem with a weapon being locked behind RNG. I have a problem with title/seal/badge completions being locked behind RNG because a required weapon hasn’t dropped. That is just plain short sighted and can frustrate players who want to buy rewards from the Bungie store but can’t because those rewards are time gated. Not well thought out IMO.

I have zero issues with it long as it has bad luck protection like what they added to the year 2 raid exotics.

As someone who got Anarchy/Tarabah within three runs while 1k voices took over 60 runs, I think RNG drops are better. The feeling after finally getting it is great, Divinity was simple other quest exotic and didn’t feel like a true raid exotic imo

6 Repliesputting it as RNG gives people a purpose to do activities i. the game. If every exotic was a quest, elope would grab them and then quit playing for months. I like the feeling of finally getting something after so many attempts. quests are cool, but they're handouts. I'd rather work for it.

I personally kinda like rng drops from raids. Even though it can be annoying after multiple attempts without getting what you want but it just makes it even more exciting when you do end up getting it.

11 RepliesSome of you didn't hunt for the gally and it shows! I actually want to do my first raid in DC because I do want that launcher so there's that. It makes it a reason to play, otherwise I wouldn't be bothered like how I passed on all the other raids and dungeons in D2 there just wasn't motivation to do them in the first place let alone e over ans over again.

Definitely! It took me 49 Last Wish to get 1000 voices and 67 SoTP to get Anarchy but had Divinity by my 3rd GoS. Then I had to run 19 Dark Priestess to get Cloudstrike but had Lament in just over an hour. Quest > RNG

Heres an idea give both options similar to how they did for adored. Two paths one path is a lengthy quest that requires skill and time the other paths it's a random rng drop or a guaranteed drop after a certain mile stone perhaps.

2 RepliesI vastly prefer drop over quest. Gives you something dope to chase instead of just having it handed to you. I can tell you I knocked out something to the effect of 50 LW raids before getting 1K and I don't mind doing the same for EoT.
