They're way longer than the other subclasses. Why? The abilities aren't any more powerful than the Light subclasses. 58 seconds for a grenade with 94 Discipline. Are you serious?

The aspects and fragments for Stasis are super important to make it a complete, playable class. There are fragments that boost your super regeneration when you shatter ice and there is one that boosts your grenade generation when you do that as well. The starter kit for Stasis is weak and the recharges are long, but once you get all the aspects and fragments that are available now, your character powers up a lot. A solid choice of playstyle for a stasis-lock is to put on the Verity's Brow exotic - energy weapon kills boosts your grenade recharge and using grenade gives your teammates tons of nade energy - and the fragment that boosts nades on ice shatters. Use the ice grenade, and shatter the ice with something like a wave frame grenade launcher (Martyr's retribution, or the new void one). You'll have abilities all day.

Edited by AdligerAdler: 11/26/2020 5:40:54 PMAs someone who has had 100 discipline for a long time: This hit home hard. My precious 31s cooldown. Wait I commented on this already. Damn bumpers.

6 RepliesFU. stasis is broken op in pvp

1 ReplyEdited by AdligerAdler: 11/22/2020 4:40:00 PMMy 100 dis cooldown went from 31s to 53s. This -blam!-ing sucks. This is worse than the Shadebinder PvE nerf to me. Gonna try getting Demolitionist on every legendary now.

Because you can get fragments and aspects that basically make them comeback immediate

1 ReplyIt is so that in pvp they cannot be used so often. But in pve there is ways to regularly use grenades it just involves killing adds, or crystals or maybe more.

1 ReplyThe cool downs are longer cuz of all the light sub class mains tears. They literally can’t handle a play style that counters their hyper reflexes. It’s pathetic.
-
1 ReplyThey want you using grenadier weapons

Edited by ChaseyCakes: 11/22/2020 4:29:46 PMThe stasis abilities are supposed to have more lethal potential so having their cooldowns be double the time was supposed to balance it out but bungie overnerfed the freeze time on coldsnap grenades and the warlock melee too much making their lethality no longer match the cooldowns so either the cooldowns need reduced or they need some of their lethality back. Id make cold snap grenades freeze time back to 2.5/2.75 seconds same with the warlock melee and cold flare abilities. And buff the range on the warlock melee to 20m instead of 16m (melee buff is more for pve than pvp)

The grenade I can understand because it's an on-demand freeze but the supers...really shouldn't have a longer cooldown. Not that it matters anyways because getting your super other than by camping in trials is already sufficient enough.

5 RepliesLight based grenade don’t freeze you. That’s why Stasis grenades have a longer cooldown.
