Was banned for no reason?
Hey so I've been banned just minutes before the raid went live for no reason. However, my friend admitted to me yesterday he was banned because he was a cheater. We've been playing for months and I never knew he was a cheater. (I remember bungie saying they were banning people who fireteam up with cheaters knowingly. And I had zero clue.) Am I permanently banned for playing with someone who was a cheater when I had zero knowledge of this?? If so this is behind ridiculous. I have been a loyal player since D1 pre alpha on ps4. I've already submitted an appeal but I doubt its even gonna be looked at. Over 10,000 hours in this game, and I get banned bc I was unknowingly playing with a cheater?

However, there is a process in place for you to appeal your ban or restriction. If you have already submitted the form that is all you can do. Making forum posts will not help your situation. The amount of time played and loyalty doesn’t matter. If you or you have played with someone that cheats, knowingly or unknowingly, there’s basically nothing you can for besides making an appeal. Even then, it’s near impossible to be unbanned once banned.

17 RepliesBungies recent cheater updates states something along the lines of even if you arent the cheater yourself, you played with the person and benefited from it. In your case, you benefitted for months and didnt notice anything suspicious? Good riddance..

1 ReplyPlaying with a cheater unknowingly does not exempt you from being banned. You were banned by affiliation with them, so the only person you can blame is your friend.
