I don't quite understand as Ive just returned to D2. Why did they put the pinnacle weapons in the vault? Basic logic would dictate that if you want something you have to earn it. I haven't played garden of salvation but I don't expect for them to add a vendor to accommodate me.

3 RepliesA lot of the content was removed, including a lot of those quests. If you look, you’ll also see anarchy and terebah on there, which can be purchased for some raid mats along with the standard requirements. As someone who had every pinnacle anyway, I’m fine with it. They’re powercapped regardless, and it goes a long way it getting new players is decent pvp weapons. Just take your friends through PoH a couple times and boom, they’ve got the mats to buy a Revoker or lunas howl for pvp.

1 ReplyEdited by Swiftlock: 11/21/2020 3:40:42 PMBecause the old pinnacle weapons are no longer viable in endgame content due to sunsetting. No more running around with Revoker/Mountaintops in IB or Trials. Thank goodness. So now everyone has a chance to use the guns they may have missed out on. As for earning pinnacles back in the day, remember that the reward isn't the gun itself. It's being able to use the weapon before most other players could.
