Help. I'm confused. No exotic cipher quest.
I turned in my exotic cipher to xur but did not get the option for another exotic cipher quest. Am I doing something wrong? I don't understand how this mechanic works. Please help.

yeah this happens when you get the cipher quest from last week then complete then turn in the quest the next week

If you get a quest one week and turn it in the next then it counts as the new weeks exotic cipher.

I think that if you have the cipher in your items, then you can’t get the quest because it counts towards your limit.

same. when i finished the quest xur was not here anymore . so today i give him the finished quest and he give me a cypher. but now i can't get a new quest for this week. pfff this is lame! (i hope this is just a bug)

I didn't finish my quest until after reset so I can understand why I didn't get one this week. Maybe the same happened for you?

IIRC, you can only pick up a cipher quest on weeks where you had zero to begin with. If you had one and spent it, bungie doesn't think you "need" a new one.

Did you already have a exotic cipher before doing the quest? Because the max you can have is one.

I have the same problem. I had the Xenology quest on my Warlock. I took my Titan to Xur and the quest completed. No Exotic Cipher in either inventory or lost packages. Can't get a new quest from Xur either.
