Melee range nerf was indeed unjustified, especially with the fact that they nerfed frozen duration, speed and on top of that range is just stupidity highest level.

The original range + the current speed nerf + 2.5s freeze would be more justified. But the entire nerf combo is extreme, especially for something that was just released a week ago.

I think an even 2s freeze would be more appropriate. Yes the subclass needed hit, and I think we can all appreciate the fast response on Bungie’s part. However, they just laid waste to the subclass, it’s not unusable or anything but it’s definitely not what I’d call good anymore. The part that’s so frustrating is they were fast to swing the nerf hammer but it’ll be months before they adjust in any other direction. That melee range nerf is complete incompetence on Bungie’s part. Not saying the class needs to be “op” but it no longer has the fun feel that it did prior.

Imagine you buy a super sports car with 1000 horse power, 1 week later the manufacturer telling you to bring the car back, so they can reduce it to 600 horse power, because apparently it was higher than intended, the feel would be just not the same anymore.
