STOP speed racing in Vanguard strikes when playing on a random fireteam
You may think you look cool by speeding ahead of your fireteam in the vanguard strikes but you end up looking like a fool because you end up getting killed and needing to be revived by your previously ignored fire team members......if you want to play solo, go by yourself but if you are on a fireteam, please play as a team member and not some rogue solo guardian, playing like a solo on a team strike is just rude.
And if you think your so much better that the members of the fireteam you are playing with, why not be a better guardian and help them out instead of being a typical internet troll by speeding ahead of everyone else.....that type of behavior is more reflective of your lack of character and not reflective of having better gaming skill.

3 RepliesThat type of behavior is indicative of someone who has strikes to do and wants to complete them efficiently and effectively, thus the saying, "work smarter, not harder." Spend 20 minutes for one strike completion or spend 7 minutes for the same one strike completion? I'm gonna choose the latter every time because you wanting to go slowly isn't going to hinder my plans for the day. You want to meander slowly through strikes? Fine. Get yourself and two of your friends that you met on the short bus together and have at it. Meanwhile, the rest of us have stuff to do.

1 ReplyI usually speed up to where the strike begins and then I’ll go slow or wait for anyone who got left behind. I am not a fan of people skipping past all the enemies and go right to the boss while I’m left behind playing the strike

Also, you can't solo strikes....

2 RepliesYou're very confused. People speedrun strikes because you need tons of completions for lure charges, catalysts and pinnacle engrams. Nothing to do with "looking cool". Don't get upset at players. Get upset at the bad reward system that encourages speedrunning.

I don't care if you say its smater to do it dont do it on quick play you got this app LFG for like minded people. Eveytime i get a glue sniffer on my fireteam by the time we get to the boss I'm out of everything except a little primary trying to snipe and launcher everything to keep them alive. We need solo strikes ive hated almost every second of this game since it became free to play. All the things I loved are dead, the guns I spent grinding for available to buy not earn and work for. There isnt a reason to play pvp anymore tbh or gambit, other than the weekly's always when there was pinnacle weapons you had something to work toward. Lets not mention they sunset everything literally we have 8 or 9 guns left from each type. Also if you noticed they took away all the ones you can get back from collections making collections just a picture gallery

It all comes down to the speed runner tho if he/she speed runs without dying then its fine. But if the speed runner is causing the strike to go longer because of them being incompetent then you have a point. If too many team wipes happen because of set speed runner then yeah its dumb and pointless. However, if the speed runner can do it no problem then just keep up most of the strikes aren't difficult to do at all.

Agree with OP. And for the people saying they’d still rather speed run, I think what they missed is that it often ends up taking longer because they go down while they’re ahead and alone and that leaves the other members more vulnerable to a team wipe. Playing as a team is always a faster and more enjoyable.

What these idiot's don't seem to know or care is that some players have bounties or campaigns that they are trying to accomplish.
