Coldsnap got nerfed across all classes. Same with breakout dmg, so it's not really like every other class was untouched. Now the amount of distance getting nerfed wasn't that necessary imo. 28m might have been too high but 16m is overkill. 20-22m would have been better as it would have given some play with range since they nerfed freeze duration.

No.

  • That's really not the point. Just because one thing happens to one class doesn't mean something has to happen to every class to make it fair. I mean being able to be 1 shot or absolute from a heavy attack super just by being within it's insane radius (wider than nova warp) was kinda nuts. You don't have time to counter or run in some cases. Plus it got a buff on It's light attack cost to offset the time cut. Your original comment also stated that the other classes remained untouched. Not just super or melee. That's the only part I disputed. Now I don't agree with the melee nerf. It was too excessive. Again, Bungie didn't need to go that far, and the super nerf was also too excessive. They could have just slightly reduced it's aoe for heavy attack damage and adjusted it's run time by a few seconds (30 sec is longer than any super in game) and it would have been fine.

One got severe nerfs and the other two did not. That’s not good balance.

  • Yea that's never been disputed by me, just your original statement of "the other classes were left untouched". Overtuned? Check... That's very obvious and I was agreeing with you there. But the other classes were touched too.....Coldsnap and breakout time. Never once did I ever say that it was balanced either, just that the other classes also received a nerf and that Warlock stasis needed adjustment from what it used to be, just not that much. I even listed what could have been a better solution in lieu of the overtuning by Bungie bc you don't have to nerf every class just to tune one class.

  • You couldn’t get one shot though, the warlock had to set up a freeze for it to work, unlike Dawn Breaker who can literally one shot with tracking
