I don't really understand the design reasoning behind the melee ability for stasis warlocks. You're telling me I have to be out of melee range to use my melee ability? That's bonkers. Why not just have the melee ability be the same as the stormcaller subclass? Where the stormcaller shoots a lightning bolt out from range distance OR melee distance IF there's a charge. Why not have that for the stasis subclass as well? Right now I'm stuck either punching my enemies or (thanks to the recent nerf nuke for the range of the ability) jumping up out of melee range and hoping that I'm close enough to have the stasis bolt actually hit my target.

I kinda prefer it that way. It sucks to waste a ranged melee on an enemy that's in your face. It also sucks the other way around. I wish we could bind the normal melee and melee ability to separate buttons, but I don't know if controllers have enough buttons for that.

Yeah its like smoke bombs, its infuriating. Everytime I want to throw a smoke bomb i melee aim assist and get my cheeks clapped. But when I don't wanna throw a smoke it just gets chucked right at their face.
