Warlock melee is different from Titan melee. Warlock base melee is slower and less powerful with a longer range than otbef classes, and the melee ability is a ranged type. It shoots a projectile towards an enemy, freezing them. The problem is that the range after the nerf is so little that it the margin between missing or using the regular melee is too small to reliably use it.
In Titan terms, take your shoulder charge and say it got nerfed to the point where you have to be so close to the enemy that you almost run into them. From my Titan I know that using a shoulder charge too close to an enemy means you probably fly past them and miss. Yet if you are any further away, your charge wont reach the enemy. The margin of success is so small that the use of the ability is very limited.

This. The melee has been rendered dangerously unreliable. It’s main use is in crowd control. But it’s range is so short now and there is no damage drop off. If you miscalculate just a tiny amount, your attack does zero damage.... ...and now you’re in a mad scramble to ready some sort of short range weapon to defend yourself from being overrun. It basically forced the class to fight within one arm tied behind its back in pve.
