4 days in a row spider has sold glimmer for materials that have gone in to the dcv with a raid in 2 days - ridiculous!
Spider has been selling glimmer for old materials for the last 4 days. New players don't have access to these materials at all and old players were advised (I wish I hadn't followed this advice knowing what I know now) to make the most of their planetary materials by spending them with vendors as they would only be useful with spider and banshee.
It appears that the rotation for glimmer for spider hasn't been altered in any way since beyond light - which means that there are a lot of chances that glimmer will be sold for an old material, hence 4 days in a row. I wanted to infused a lot of my gear up for the raid on saturday, but i'm struggling to do this now because of this drought. If spider sells glimmer for old materials for the next 2 days I'm pretty much screwed. New players will be the same.
I'd like to see a different weighting for glimmer for spider so that the older materials appear less often or a separate option for the older materials. This would also be a good opportunity to put the 2 new materials (i haven't seen them yet at least) into the spider glimmer rotation, which they currently aren't (they are in banshee's rotation though).

4 RepliesAs I can't remedy this situation for you, i will suggest that you try looking for rainmakers in your inv, opening those regional chest, and pub events, as well patrols along side them all. Since the ghost automatically has a mod for chest detector i suggest using this along side the ultimate glimmer extractor mod on the ghost while doing patrols/ pub events.

1 Replyi can understand the frustration but on the other hand, can't you earn the glimmer through the various activities? i seriously never bought glimmer before until BL dropped and that was just to speed through the campaign. just running various strikes and through bounties and gambit, things like that, seems I was never out of glimmer, even when i first started.

4 RepliesYou misread/misinterpreted Bungie’s initial statement regarding this. They said very clearly that old materials will still be used by vendors in this season. It is not until after this season that the vaulted area materials will have very little value.
