Is anyone else sick and tired of PvP causing things to get changed that are detrimental to the PvE sandbox? Any time Bungie nerfs something in PvP they change it in PvE too which only ends up hurting the gameplay. This isn’t always horrible, but they end up changing things that don’t need to be changed.
Edit: i dont know why people keep bringing up the warlock super fix when that was a bug and no one cares that it got fixed - it’s completely unrelated to the actual nerfs and the bug getting fixed isn’t even considered a nerf

Pvp always did this, and warlock need a buff. Nuff said. Separate pve and pvp, and buff locks.
coming from a hunter

not my main account, so chill trolls.
6 RepliesOpionion: I honestly think PvP should get removed because the sandbox genuinely can't function properly having to be balanced for 2 different scenarios. This way, Bungie can focus on PvE and make ACTUAL CONTENT. PvP is literally a slot machine the entire time. Shotguns are RNG, Peer to Peer connections makes every player an RNG target because you never know when you will actually hit them. Flinch is RNG Aimbot, constantly aiming for you because real aim is for losers amirite? All in all, PvP is not fun and to be honest has no competitive integrity and never has had any. The only competition in PVP is who can get a god roll or Felwinter's first so that way they can spam their quickdraws and pull 20 frame switches so fast you wont even see the gun come out.

Been the way since the OG vex Mythoclast

1 ReplyBungie are listening, remember though its PVP first.....PVE is an after thought.

1 Reply“PvP dictating PvE Sandbox” Always has been

2 RepliesAztecross mentioned the warlock changes only affects pvp not pve
-
Absolutely. Game designers need to understand player bias and general stupidity. The fact the Bungo cannot use more than 10 collective braincells and split the sandboxes is the biggest issue. Things will never be balanced for both PvE and PvP if they are tuned to eachother's standard.

Classic Bungo... "Here's a really fun mechanic for warlocks! You should play Destiny 2 again to try it out!" After you download it and spend the time getting it they come in with the "Aaaaand we patched it so it sucks now! But while you're here take this endless list of boring dailies and bounties to do instead of having fun, thanks for coming back!"

75 RepliesYes. I’m sick and tired of it. Especially since Warlocks are always getting the shit end of the nerf stick. EVERY time we get something powerful the Sweaties whine up a storm and it gets broken. Shit, Sunbreakers 1.0 went on for a month before it got nerfed. Shadebinders got nerfed after barely a WEEK. The melee is just broken now as a ranged attack in pve. It’s range is too short to be useful given how fast the mobs move now.

2 RepliesAll I really care about is PVP. So...

1 ReplyIt's not PvP's fault. It's Bungie's fault. People like you dislike PvP to begin with, so blaming PvP is easy for you to do. Bungie could make changes and separate the two, but they don't.

1 ReplyLet’s be real. PVP on console is about how can lag the most. Now it’s how can spam the freeze button the most. It’s unplayable garbage and always has been. Oh you grinded for the pinnacles? Here let me nerf and sunset them. I hate how the lure quest shoehorns in shit with pvp. I use to love pvp but Jesus Christ is it -blam!-ing ass now with stasis. It’s always been shit but wow is it worse. Plus like what’s the deal with roaming supers? I seem to die in a few shots or I lose against a roaming super everytime. It’s like this game hates I have high speed Internet. Idk I wish they’d focus on improving crucible instead of just slapping shit together and calling it a day.

5 RepliesIf it was me, there wuold be no PVP, no Gambit, only PVE and lots of it. More, more, and even more activities, bigger maps, more rewarding and harder public events. More Raids, more Strikes, more Dungeons, MORE PVE!
-
1 ReplyCompletely agree. Bungie you HAVE GOT to stop destroying PvE with drastic moves due to a couple people whining in the PvP realm. This game was originally designed for PvE. Don’t forget about it.

Been here for 7 years and I don’t expect them to change/separate PvP and PvE. This was my BIGGEST issue because whenever a nerf happens, PvE is the game mode that suffers the most. I’ve decided to come and see what the forums were like and I’m impressed a comment like this has this much likes since back in the days, they’d get downvoted to hell. A game like this wasn’t meant to combine PvP and PvE as this would cause balancing issues and Nova Warp and now the new Warlock class got the axe, which proves my point.

Like what? Mida nerfs? Last Word nerfs? PvP weapons getting nerfed that dont get used in PvE at all are suffering in PvE? If you mean supers and abilities, thats understanable

1 ReplyThank Hunter mains kid!

1 ReplyWith Destiny it was always like that. We have been asking for a complete split between PvE and PvP when it comes to such things, since early D1.
-
Even Aztecross pointed this out in his recent video covering the TWAB.

10 RepliesPvP stasis warlock got balanced... PVE stasis warlocks are trash now...... super runs out too quick, melee nerfed to the ground and tracking shards cant keep up with running or teleporting ads.... I thought this last week and i do now more than ever: Its time to treat the sandboxes differently as one keeps ruining th other and vice versa.....
-
6 RepliesIm pretty sure they nerfed warlocks because it was killing raid bosses in .2 seconds... and then warlock melees had ridiculous range (28 meters) and would freeze people for 4 or so seconds. So yea, if you’re smart you’d understand why it needed a nerf.

With regard to the edit: it’s been hilarious how Bungie defenders automatically assume that warlocks are complaining because they like broken pvp OR to use the bug. I have yet to see one warlock main complain about the adjustments to pvp or taking the bug away and yet, Bungie defenders keep dropping lame arguments saying warlocks are crying because they’re not op in crucible. As a pve warlock main I don’t care about crucible. I do care that because of pvp, senseless nerfs were done in pve that tarnish the class

Why is the destiny forums on bungie.net full of little -blam!-

1 ReplyEdited by x Anubis x: 11/20/2020 8:40:03 PMI guess they think Destiny 2 PVP will become any kind of e-sport, should be it, this game will never become an e-sport game, with all unbalances skills, guardians, gears and weapons, and they don't have any idea how to balance each class to be a counter. They fail to become PVP an enjoyable place (like was in D1), they like to listen to Streamers playing as a Hunter and make only 2 kind of classes be able to make something cool at the game. (Regarding PVP), so in a dream to become a kind of PVP Game, they predict to balance PVP around PVE (that's the majority part of the game). They like to "force" you to make PVP, including many quests or bounties around PVP (Exotic Catalysts for example, when u need to kill guardians) just to make you play it. So, someone that don't like PVP enter in the game and suffer with "play hards" that dies with Jötunn or other stuffs will whinny in the forum asking for nerfs, or even a casual pvp person playing a good match but killing "try harders" they will whinny again in the forum asking for nerfs, because only them are able to be "pro-player Destiny PVP -lol". So the only way is: a dedicated sandbox for it.

2 RepliesAt this point we’re still play testing for Bungie.
