Who is now the hunter vanguard?
I’m sorry if this is a dumb question, but after cayde death who took over as the hunter vanguard? I been getting more into the lore. And google hasn’t helped. Thanks in advance.

Many people will tell you it [b]SHOULD[/b] be The Crow because “hE fUlLfIlLeD cAyDe’S dArE” but they tend to look over the fact that A) Cayde said [quote]to the Hunter that kills me[/quote] implying this dare is only for Hunters. Uldren was not a Lightbearer, let alone a Hunter. This further reflects in Zavala’s joke with Ana where he says “unless you killed him and we’ve had the wrong guy all this time” further showing it was unique to Hunters. B) Ikora has stated they don’t truly blame him for Cayde’s death. Suggesting if they were to follow the basis of the dare that everyone else does, they’d be offering three position to a Hive God. C) The Crow isn’t Uldren. He’s been revived as a Lightbearer so he’s not the same person. He has no recollection of that life. Osiris even tells us to forget blame and to not think of this guy as Uldren because he isn’t. Not anymore. D) The Crow is kinda in a tight spot. He’s tied to Spider and has a bomb in his ghost’s shell should he stray too far from the nest. I know it could simply be removed but still could be utilised by Spider. E) He’s kinda a New Light and is hated by everyone in the Tower. There’s no way he’d be allowed in the Tower without causing multiple guns to be raised. F) Cayde would genuinely be disgusted by it, based on how he says he would reacted to this idea of Uldren telling Petra to kill him. I know Bungie seem to be setting him up to take the position, but note he really shouldn’t for multiple reasons.
