I just recently decided to get back into destiny 2 after a ~year long hiatus, and as I now play on pc rather than xbox, I decided to use cross-save to get my characters/gear on my pc. Seems fairly straight-forward, except for the fact that I have been sitting here for NEARLY AN HOUR trying to authenticate the xbox account THAT I NO LONGER USE. What. The. Hell. Every single time I click authenticate, it makes me sign in to my Microsoft account, and when I do, a loading sign appears and then goes away. What an utter waste of time. What do I do.
