Same as a lot of people I lost a ton of framerates in Tangled Shore and other areas. I tried one fix that I seen mentioned somewhere else. In the cvars I changed force_enable_multi_threaded_render_submit value from 0 to a 1. That fixed the framerate issue I was having but now I'm getting flickering shadows. I changed it back to 0 and went to Tangled Shore and had the low frame rates and I noticed that only two cores were boosting over 4ghz. So I went in the cvars and changed multi thread render to 1 again and went to the Tangled Shore. My frames were high like they should be and 5 of the 6 cores was boosting over 4ghz rather than 2 cores like when its set to 0. So I can get high fps with shadow flicker or low fps with no flicker are my two options right now till its fixed. My specs are r5 3600X, 16gb DDR4 3600mhz, 5700XT, 1tb nvme ssd, and B450 motherboard.

Everyone please see the official post: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/257630620 "December 14, 2020 We believe we found a few issues related to light probes that have led to GPU performance degradation. We're still investigating and hope to have a resolution in January."

I have a 1600x at 3.8 ghz, RX 590 Red Devil OC bios amd 16 gb 3200 mhz Ram and Samsung EVO 850 250gb with the game on. I have the same problem, since Beyond Light released my performance have been terrible, gone from average 120 fps to around 70 average, with dips below 60... I tried the "fix" and as you guys i get some flickering shadow behaviour but my performance increased to around 80-110'ish FPS in tangled shore. I also turned off low latency mode, which seemed to smooth the game alot more. Let me know if you get any other ideas!

1 ReplyEdited by JSGhost_11B: 11/22/2020 3:47:36 AMI'm also suffering the same issue... My specs are a bit different but still, I've never had this happen until Beyond Light... R5 2600X, Sapphire RX-590 SE, 16 GB 3400 C14, 512 GB NvME... I've tried rolling back Adrenalin to v20.4.2 which had given me the best performance and highest FPS prior to Beyond Light without any luck... I'll try the latest version and maybe try tweaking my BIOS settings a bit to see if that helps with the multithread issue and/or CPB...

2 RepliesEdited by Delta: 11/19/2020 10:33:25 AMTested this right now, almost same specs, and I must say there is a really nice boost of fps. I saw some flickering stuff, as you said, like the windshield of the sparrow, my ghost, my ship when in the orbit menu etc. Thanks for the tip, I guess I'll stay with this until Bungie doesn't fix it themselves. If the flickering isn't that huge, I think I can live with it Edit: holy shit, the tower is horrible while using this "fix". Nvm, I'll switch back to low fps.

2 RepliesAlso forgot to add from what I read this fix does nothing for the people with intel CPUs having this issue. I think this might only work with AMD. If anyone with Intel try's this let me know how you made out.

1 ReplyYes that is the issue, hopefully fixed soon, because it doesn't seem too hard to fix

1 ReplyMe and you have the same PC pretty much lol. I'll try it out later on and see if I get the same results. Been having the same issues.
