...remember when everyone lost their minds when Activision dumped Bungie? Remember when everyone believed the naive narrative that Activision was somehow holding Bungie at gunpoint to decrease the creative processes just to make a buck?
Yeah, right. There you have it.

30 RepliesWhether Bungie likes it or not, they need to step into a deal with Microsoft right now. So let’s get to taking out their awful producers one by one. Luke Smith. From what I can gather, he commanded Bungie in the making of these past two mediocre expansions. He’s well protected, but with the right amount of noise and backlash, we can punch through their thick skulls, fire this awful producer, and sign a deal with Microsoft.

It's honestly crazy playing through the campaign the music and scenery are nice and they try to build this atmosphere around you but the story and the gameplay feels so soulless I beat the campaign put it down and bought cold war lol. This game is a husk pretty wrapping with nothing inside

Bungie has been on rebound ever since it’s true love Microsoft broke up with them

1 ReplyEdited by CrossFire3A1: 11/18/2020 12:59:06 PMThis Expansion to me was going to be the make or break it point for Bungie. I was a defender of Bungie back in D1 due to Activision’s involvement in the Game. When D2 launched it became apparent to me that a lot responsibility rests at Bungie’s feet as well. I felt D1 had really become a much better game in the end. Instead of building on that they totally screwed the pooch with D2. When Forsaken came along I thought there was hope again but along comes Shadowkeep which really didn’t impress me. When I watched the last Vidoc before Beyond Light and the Devs I began to regret purchasing it. The feeling they gave me was here comes another disaster. I think it has become apparent that real minds behind Destiny left Bungie with 343 a long time ago.

1 ReplyBungie’s main problem is upper management, always has been. I’ll never understand how the person who was responsible for D2 at launch, that then went into ‘hiding’ for 6 months post release, is STILL in a position that dictates how this game develops. Blows my mind.

2 RepliesIt’s not going to get any better. They feel this was a good DLC and good content. Remember that. This is as much of an effort as they can muster without activision threatening them. Luke, nose, and whoever else is in charge of decision making needs to be fired immediately and replaced with people that actually have passion for making games.

Edited by her: 11/19/2020 2:35:58 PMThis game is terrible, after supporting this game and making excuses since the beta of Destiny one I am officially over this pile of trash.

Hoped it was Activision, knew in the back of our minds it was really LUKE SMITH.
-
2 RepliesI think Luke Smith should be sent to North Korea

Luke is a big problem
-
Luke Smith and leadership is the problem. They need to work on making the game fun again.

2 RepliesIt's really funny, Bungie keeps blaming the people they partner with for pretty much all their problems and gets the community to turn against them in full so when they are left high and dry the fans will can say "Good riddance to (x) they were holding Bungie back". They did it with Microsoft as well, making it out like they were some kind of bully that didn't respect them at all, when, in reality, they just wanted Halo to be the best game it could be. Then when they left Microsoft the community went apeshit about how Bungie could make their games as freely as they chose and....then we got Destiny and all it's problems since....because Bungie isn't actually good at doing anything unless someone is whipping them into shape it seems.

I gotta admit I was one who thought this but it’s more than clear now Bungie was screwing it up all by themselves this whole time. They have no excuses now however and are solely to be held accountable. After this heap of trash they just released the numbers will drop to what it was like after y1 d2 and they won’t be able to get them back up again. Destiny is about to die and as much as I like what destiny could be I am happy because Bungie absolutely deserves it to happen. The fans have stood by them for way too long defending them and giving them the benefit of the doubt waiting for them to finally listen and turn destiny into the amazing game we’ve all known it could be but that’s all over. They just really screwed up and can’t pass the blame off this time around. RIP Bungie.

for 6 months and with half the man power they made this expansion. during a pandemic with really rough coordination. i will give bungie a pass this one time only

1 ReplyI see why people are jumping ship from the company

2 RepliesWhat a twist. Activision wasn't the piece of shit in this scenario.

3 RepliesEdited by CheeksthemClaps: 11/18/2020 8:23:38 PMBlind fanboys mate, all blind fanboys. I remember them saying SK is the first dlc without Activision and that was the true Bungie vision for Destiny. It was Aight, not that great. And now they say Nah this THIS right here is the true Bungie vision. Next year we will hear the same but with the excuse of the pandemic making BL not optimal. Now I get Covid has hold them back, so I am not going to be too harsh. We have to realize tho this was a comet dlc with a lot of things missing in direction too, not just content..

2 Replies<And are you actually here saying that Activision wasn't in some way responsible for the D1 that we were given? Or the deadlines? I'm not saying that Bungie isn't responsible for any number of issues, and the last year was solely theirs to take on... but Activision was horrible for Destiny, regardless of the content we got. Without Activision, you'd still have the Bungie that made Halo. Without Activision, half the things these people claim to be the greatest thing ever would still exist. The moment Bungie signed a contract with Activision, it was over. No matter how Bungie cycles through people now, or the probable crunch that stems from making these unsustainable seasonal loops, or the still-broken-since-Forsaken economy, it all will stem back to that deal. Whether the game is better off now or not, it will never be what it could've been. Ever.>

1 ReplyI'll say atleast with Activision, I could get almost everything from Eververse with out silver. All the new weapon and armor ornaments, ships, sparrows etc. I could gain from just playing overtime via the bright engrams. The first thing Bungie did and I mean the very first thing they did when they parted ways from Activision was revamp how and what you got from Eververse.
-
But guess who supports their behavior? The players. Have you seen the player count? Have you seen the number of pre-orders for this shit? It's not Bungie at fault here. Bungie does what a greedy company does. Recycles content and does nothing really important, like bug fixing, PvP balance. Because players ARE BUYING this joke of a game and they are playing it. IF=f the daily player count would fall to 1, 2k I think they would have done something, but look now :) Records with this joke of an overpriced expansion

13 RepliesEdited by ByWatterson: 11/18/2020 5:36:26 PMMeanwhile, COD these days is relatively consumer-friendly, with a full-featured free game, with great grind built in, and microtransactions that don't particularly matter. The main game this year features a pretty slick campaign, and again, lots of gun types that all feel different, grinding to get them all, and a continuous sense of progression. Activision loves money. But at least they make a predictably good product that is worth the TIME investment, too.

1 Replybungie did learn something from activison GREED
