Just want to know if i should keep or dismantle all my 1060 capped weapons for PvE

Edited by Mr. Q: 6/18/2021 5:54:14 AMthey have already rereleased some of the sunset weapons from the start of the game. They will never up the power level and have already explained why. They do it to prevent weapon rolls from being too strong with new mods and abilities etc. They will probably release all the original weapons again but you will have to grind for them and they probably will never have the same abilities. The only exception to this is if you intend to keep the weapon for crucible modes with no power level counter and they have already made a list of the weapons most people wanted to keep. This is why the legacy weapons list was made for you to remake any of the ones there. Even those weapons still have a power level cap at 1060.

1 ReplyI gotta slightly separate problem. When I downloaded beyond light I noticed a TON of my ornaments disappeared from my inventory. And my valkyrian ornaments weren’t on any of my armours, so poof gone. Can one of y’all bungie employees (since there is no direct way to email bungie themselves) plz help me through this cuz I don’t really care about those rest of the shaders but I’m not about to lose my valkyrian set

Never. I deleted so many God rolls to make space for armor sets before the Transmog working with collections was announced. Hold onto what's good. In the case of armor, keep high stat rolls you like, delete the rest.

I kept a large portion of my favorites in case they revert the 1060 power cap for some reason. When I get low on vault space again, then they will start to get dismantled

No, u never know what bungo will do they may end up saying screw it use whatever u want.

Edited by SolarCerberuS: 11/17/2020 9:02:29 PMIf you only intend to do engame activities dismantle, 1060 capped gear will be useless going forward. If you do regular strike playlists, regular crucible and patrol bounties 1060 gear is fine to use still (although some Europa enemies are high level) I have over half my vault .....probably closer to 3/4 actually of sunset weapons and armor currently. HOWEVER if I get a suitable replacement drop that will take the place of any sunset gear then I will dismantle it.

Dismantle them. Bungo made them useless :(

1 ReplyI did. You will get it all back when it is re-skinned.

I’m not dismantling a single one ,they are more like trophies now -
Unless you have a sentimental attachment to gear with a Power Limit of 1060, or plan to use it in Crucible, I'd say it's not worth keeping most of that gear. Once transmog launches, it will allow you to use anything you've discovered in your collections, so keeping 1060 armor is just taking up vault space at this point.

I did, not gonna use em anymore even though you still can in crucible for example. Shame to delete some stuff but at the time I had about 15 cores and at the end had about 265 so was worth it.

I did that and I don’t regret it. It’s just another step in accepting sunsetting lol.
