Was super happy to have a more difficult experience in game again, loved how challenging some of the missions were. More difficulty is always welcome, that's just my opinion though.

The problem is that combat balancing in game is a total crap shoot. Some things are easy, some suck. It all depends on what class/subclass/tree/weapons/perks you are using. Mostly I only play my Warlock, except for iron banner, which I will play on all three (assuming the armor sets are decent looking that season). Anyway, most stuff I do fine at, but every so often bungie adds dumb combat mechanics that seem to be aimed at shutting down solo players that don’t have raid gear.

The HVT Brigs take more effort to kill than all of the stasis goons put together. Can't wait until my power is high enough to not get 1 shotted by one.

Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
Eramis should have been the hardest to kill, she was the most skilled stasis user of the bunch She should have been able to ice you anywhere , and should have had an ice shield you had to do a mechanic to disable Sadly though, her fight is more like an interactive cutscene than a fight -
Copy pasting more jumping puzzles is just lazy

What was difficult?

2 RepliesSorry, it wasn’t difficult it was annoying ad spam isn’t challenging and making all the enemies yellow bar’s isn’t hard to kill them it makes it annoying to kill them, Taking time to actually make more enemies and thinking “hey how many enemies should we add in this arena” other games do this well so you cant say its impossible

Lol, used 4 weapons through the campaign. Still using those 4 weapons. Hopefully the legendary lost sectors are more challenging.

1 ReplyI didn't see it as difficult but rather obnoxious. If you were under the recommended light, I guess the missions had a bit of a challenge, but that was it. Most of the time spent in the boss fights in particular was just killing ads while the boss chucked stasis potshots at you. The bosses themselves melted rather quickly whenever you had the breathing room if you weren't severely under light. The only fight I somewhat enjoyed upon reflection was Praksis, because at least he kept me on my toes even without the stasis grenades.

26 RepliesOh yes. Difficulty. With weapon spamming enemies (no reloading) and AoE that goes behind cover. Real Peachy. ... None of you have the tactical prowess to excell in life, so you are satisfied with the small participation trophies presented to you in video games. Sad!

1 ReplyPhylaks was the worst, until I got my power up more.

Sadly the difficulty really only came from power level. If you were on level for each mission, it was arguably easier than red war. Eramis especially felt disappointing. Easily my favorite was Praksis while you are about 15-20 under light. A boss with fairly simple mechanics that requires you to pay attention and stay mobile. Also when you get stasis in the last phase it doesn't feel like a cop-out because you actually have to choose a time when it's safe to go complete the animation. probably one of my favorites since the hangman in forsaken.

1 ReplyHarder difficulty = to artificially extend the duration of the dlc. But yeah hard activities are fun

Story was too easy and the follow up quests, Legendary lost sectors are a fun implementation as I like to go solo so the light challenge is more than welcome
