  • What an irony, right? When we get ice abilities, our PCs become hotter. I used to have 90-120 fps, now I mostly have 60-90. Specs: Intel i7-8700 GTX 1060 6GB 16GB RAM SSD

    • does anyone know if bungie have commented on this problem yet becuase its really annoying im getting the same problem, 72fps+ before now down to 60 with frame drops aswell as my temps were at 50-60 when casually playing and bumped to 70 if under high load but now its just constantly 70 and goes up to 80+ Hope this gets fixed Specs: GTX 1660 I7-9750H

Assuming this is both CPU and GPU temp. It comes all down to your PC being under heavier load than before, also the story about people having FPS issues is either A: Outdated GPU Drivers. (pending Windows updates etc.) B: GPU bottleneck (if we're just talking low framrates, if stutters, its the CPU or RAM/Pagefile) C: in some cases people could be facing thermal throttling (lowered performance to keep temps in check) or having a failing drive (which i doubt but I have seen people with similar scenarios which was the issue behind it) If you want to find out, just get "hwmonitor" by CPUID and keep eyes on temps while playing (I would have said MSI afterburner with RTSS - Riva Turner Statistics Service - ) but Destiny no longer supports monitoring softwares that hooks with the application. I play at an average 140fps in Europa and other parts, places with more people and such like the Tower can dip to 105fps temps on CPU sitting around 50 to 60 and some intense cases, 70. Same for GPU. I got Destiny 2 & OS installed on a Kingston 970 Evo Plus 500GB Nvme Drive. i7 8700k @ 4.80Ghz 32GB DDR4 3333MHz MSI 1080 TI Gaming X 11G
