SSD Free Space question
I just wanted to ask, because I recently switched from HDD to SSD after Beyond Light launched. How much free space should I have after installing Destiny 2 on my SSD for the best performance? I currently have 62 GB of free space.

There are plenty of online forums and comparisons that state that leaving some space free on an SSD will improve performance, but it's entirely dependent on the controller on-board in how smart/quickly it can deal with things. They state that drives with better controllers and processing of the cleanups and the like have less performance loss than others with the same available free space (if any). So, ultimately, you'll need to ask the manufacturer or people that know about your specific drive, since it's entirely hardware related.

3 RepliesMinus the install size of D2 and there is your answer. Remember SSD come in a variety of Storage sizes so it depends on what size SSD you have and what else you have installed on it.
