Hey everyone. Just wanted to remind you that with hotfix 3.0.0.2 Bungie removed Heir Apparent exotic from the Kiosk. I want to explain why I have a problem with this. I don’t care about this exotic and having it in the collection, what the real issue is I think is their attitude towards players. Somewhere after a few days into BL they thought “Hey, wait a minute, we should remove Heir apparent from kiosk so we can add it later as a reward, players that already bought it can have it while who missed it will have no power to change anything so will have to play the new event!” and just hotfixed it out not even waiting for the weekly reset (some people waited for a cipher from Xūr). This makes me think... what’s next? They will reuse old sunset guns again? no more new events and only old content and rewards? they will remove another gun and add it next season? Most likely yes if we will keep accepting these scummy level decisions...
/
EDIT: I just want to clarify for a few people that I’m not being salty about the gun, I have all the weapons from raids, I was missing the symmetry and Devils Ruin so would still buy it last. I am actually concerned with Bungie’s attitude, they obviously planned on adding it to the kiosk (the price was set and the kiosk was teased as a big new thing in BL) and they decided to remove it without informing the community prior to the hotfix. Just ask yourself, would you be ok if they would start removing weapons to just add them later? I love the game, love what Bungie creates (the EA part was obviously a joke) and it’s because of this I wrote this post, we have to voice the problems until they become serious.
/
EDIT2: Look guys, stop telling people you earned it through the event. We get it, good for you, most of us did the whisper and outbreak for 4 weeks to get the catalyst done, most of us did the protocol level 7 bosses hit for worldline zero, most of us worked hard to get pinnacle and ritual weapons. But the problem is that because we have it we will not do this again, people that already have heir apparent will not play the new event if they re-release it. What’s the point if half of us have it already?! Read through again if you still think the gun is the problem. It’s certainly not about the gun, we already have a small loot pool and I guess sunsetting will be healthy in a long run, pulling weapons to reuse them later was definitely a bad choice and just shows us a lack of interest to make the new events fun.
/
P.S. Also, the whole FOMO thing is unhealthy, I see people stressing out because they didn’t get it on time. Please do not let this ruin your experience and ruin the game, it’s still fun, we still have a lot ahead of us, life is more than an exotic, I’ve honestly had more fun meeting people from this community and playing, than grinding for any gun. The fun we had raiding, pushing teammates over the edge with sparrows, playing competitive and just fooling around was worth more than any gun in this game. Some teammates that had a rough day or are just depressed would click back in place in like 30 minutes just because they had someone to talk with and play this game. At the end of the day, randoms from lfgs and clanmates made my day better more often than any gun or emblem I’ve earned.

Not nearly as disrespectful as allowing new players to pick up Not forgotten. I didn't play the Titan games so I couldn't be upset it was my act of defiance as a warlock but pinnacles on the kiosk is a spit in the face and there is no way around it. Now removing Heir Apparent I don't know why they would do that unless they had sinister plan to rehash the Titan games.
Yes I know its Guardian Games but it was so biased towards the titan so bad they even made lore to justify the farce.
-
2 RepliesTldr; I didn't play guardians games and couldn't bother to waste the time. I would rather hit the easy button and get the weapon without actually earning it. Lol That's my take on it. Hence I earned my heir apparent apparently.
-
2 RepliesI was under the impression no exotics would be removed, only all the other weapons, looks like bungie lie again, happy ive not played for a few months this just cements my decision

5 RepliesCan Bungie please stop the flashing kiosk on my map? I don’t give a shoot about buying weapons that are capped at 1060. Also put all exotic weapons from past seasons in it, as was described in their damn twab, including heir apparent for those who don’t have it. Also can they for f sakes learn to write descriptions: unstoppable hand cannon: “any hand cannon”. Well damn Eriana’s Vow is a f**** hand cannon. So write something like: except exotics with inherent champion perk, or the like kindergarten level of description. This company is like the antithesis of the smart dealer: sells one rolling paper today, sells a little filter next week, sells a little tobacco the week after, and a lighter the week after that. Well Bungie by that time people are out of smoking!!

23 RepliesThey've removed heir apparent. Took away witherhoard as they said that was game breaking. Yet gunsmith is still selling upgrade modules for invalid planetary resources. So if it benefits us its taken away, but if it has detrimental impact to us then they won't fix it anytime soon. Just shows you how important we are.

let me get this right you are comparing Bungie to EA. EA who was voted the worst company in America 2 times in a row and Is known for their predatory microtransactions and has been taken to court over said microtransactions to bungie who removed a weapon that could only be obtained from a limited-time event this post makes no sense at all how does it nearly have 400 upvotes this is -blam!-ing ridiculous It just proves how this community is just a bunch of ungrateful pricks

1 ReplyEdited by SolarSabotage: 11/16/2020 12:08:37 AMRemember Arbalest? Remember how it was introduced in a very similar way as Heir Apparent as a reward for completing seven of the ten Revelry triumphs in April of 2019? Notice how after the event was over, it's a random drop now? Why couldn't you just do the same thing with Heir Apparent, Bungie? Why not? EDIT: Just looked up the Heir Apparent "quest" as I didn't play much of the game when Guardian Games were going on. What I read goes as follows, taken from a gamesradar.com guide. "To unlock Heir Apparent, you have to complete the Class Act Triumph, which can be found in the Events section of the Seasonal Triumphs. This Triumph requires you to complete seven other Guardian Games 2020 Triumphs. Apart from Class Act, there are 11 Guardian Games Triumphs available. Once you complete seven of these, you can claim Class Act and purchase Heir Apparent from Eva Levante in the Tower." Arbalest was literally the same thing for the 2019 Revelry. The same. -blam!-ing. Thing. As I asked before, why is Arbalest now a random drop but Heir Apparent isn't?

i like, how everyone just missed the point of this post.....

2 RepliesImagine fighting so hard to gatekeep a gun in a -blam!-ing video game.
-
thank god i grabbed it day 1 :D
-
I grabbed it, should I still have it?
-
1 ReplyMy question is, why isn't Felwinter's Lie under the legendary section?
-
i got mine during Guardian Games, but more people should have access to it. They shouldn't have removed it from the kiosk thing. I think everyone should be allowed to use big gun, because we are all Heavy from TF2 on the inside.
-
2 Repliesafter grinding for days for this its removed. after new launch that was worst ever. after no trials. after changing nightfall. after no witherhoard. rose change and this freaking blink on my screen for a gun not their. after 8 years i quit.

Very well said guardian! Although I feel bad they removed it for reasons I cannot gather, I did manage to snag this on day 2 as it was on my radar for awhile. I missed out on it back in the games but didn't like the grind to get such a weapon. I DO love this game and have over 2k hrs just since Shadowkeep but I work 40 hrs a week and try to live a little. I absolutely love the idea behind the kiosk and be able to get the weapons I wasn't able to snag during past events and seasons. Although it may frustrate some of you I welcome it with open arms. The game isn't for just the fortunate that have the means to NOT work and stay home and play. Nor for folks that live in their parents basements and have all the time in the world. I've been playing games since 1980, so I know shit and yep that makes me an old -blam!-, or maybe I should say older... lol, I've learned a lot from folks I've met in this game and still have tons to learn. I'm absolute trash in crucible and get high anxiety when going in there to try to bang off quest related stuff. Hey that's on me, I get it. Although this game can frustrate the hell out of us it still manages to bring together a community of gamers, forges new friendships and gives us a purpose or as I'd like to put it "my job away from my job". I really like the points about the whisper and worldline zero , ouch. These were a couple of bangers...jeez...especially to get the catalysts. I mean C'mon Bungie...5 weeks ....seriously. Just to whip out my sword in an EP to go.....BINK!...hit done....see ya next Tuesday.....The decisions they make when coming up with stuff makes my eyes cross. Hopefully we can get some sort of balance for all players so we may be able to enjoy the game equally and stop the bashing and trashing and hate. Toxicity is a bigger problem. Love the post. Cheers,

1 ReplyCan i still get it if i didnt get it in the guardian games. Its the only non-beyond light exotic im missing :(
-
2 RepliesI've got mine, so there's no problem 👍
-
7 RepliesIt's because it was from Season 10. Weapons in the kiosk are supposed to be 3 seasons old or older. Heir wasn't. But go ahead, hate without understanding the reasons.

Glad i bought mine from the kiosk Wednesday I really don’t understand why they removed it. I thought the kiosk was Made for these (and raid) exotics. Every dlc bungie seems to be making the same mistakes, no play testing, no additonal server capacity for release etc. Someone should teach them to look back and learn from the past, how hard can it be?
-
Honestly with all the arc in BL you wouldn't want to use it anywho, arc damage is Heir Apparent's kryptonite been using Thunderlord instead
-
Nah, if it was EA, Tess would be selling it as an rng drop from a $10 grab box.
-
Yeah kinda p!ssed it was Removed I was going to collect it. The quest was long and boring to acquire it I never finished it off. Now it’s gone BUT they let Not Forgotten in the kiosk and mountaintop. Hard to originally acquire especially Not forgotten. I know the gun is nothing of what it was but still. They leave that but remove heir apparent..
-
1 ReplyI’d love to hear how they square this with the people got it and the people who didn’t. It’s the epitome of FOMO. Which is something they just said they did away with. It needs to be put back. Now, not a few months from now. The customers should demand it.
-
1 ReplyWhy did they remove it iwas gonna buy that last
-
It wasn’t supposed to be on there in the first place It was just an oversight
