Sunsetting -designed by idiots
So let me get this straight - I can buy a Crap Bygones from the Drifter -but I can’t infuse the same gun that I had with better rolls? Makes sense!
And I have to go through multiple steps to see if I CAN infuse my weapons because it’s not by season! How nice! More time in the game for fake play time!

2 RepliesSunset exists because Luke Smith is an arrogant manbaby that got upset that people only went after the new things if they looked or sounded interesting. He believes everyone needs to play the game the way he plays it, which is throwing away everything whenever something new comes out and no-life the game in order to bring the new stuff up to a proper usability level (and be perfectly okay with that new stuff being objectively worse than his old stuff). He's the authoritarian "play my way or don't play at all" kind of leader. I bet he ran his WoW guild the same way.

2 RepliesLuke Smith has been ruining Destiny ever since they ran Joe off. It always has been a “good, but could have been so much better” game. Until now. Now it’s a “I can’t believe Bungie is this stupid” game. Remember what they did to Fatebringer because everyone used it? Remember how many times the Vex Mythoclast was nerfed? Remember the double primary meta? Which evolved into who could kill who with Mida faster? Now they took 4 years and hundreds of weapons that took hundreds of hours to get and made them irrelevant. They know how long it took you guys to get them and they don’t care. They don’t care how long it took you to get that character build just the way you wanted. They don’t care that you had god rolls on weapons that you farmed hours for. They don’t care that the game is a lot harder and far less fun without those weapons/armor. They want you to play though, that’s why there’s so many new pinnacle weapons to chase... uh, NOT! They want you to play so they gave you a No Time To Explain tier 1 exotic... NOT! - it’s f-ing trash. They want you to play so they updated all their milestones to keep up with the new season.. NOT! I’ve been disappointed with Bungie before. But now I’m disgusted. I totally wasted $50.

I’m annoyed why are we still getting loot that is capped at 1060. Every weapon in a new season should be infusable to the new level cap.

2 RepliesI had to put away my Scorn Baron robes because sunseting. The VERY FIRST LEGENDARY I get is... AN UPDATED SCORN BARON ROBES, but with shitty arse stats. Yeah, GG to the moron who designed this dumb idea.

Why are people who said that so unaware/ignorant/naive of how Bungie works? Each time I see someone face a random 1210, 1230, 1250 roaming Brig or something, I just can't stop laughing at the idiots who said you won't need to use higher gear unless you play end game. Sure. Do patrols at 1050, I'll be right behind you... laughing at you.

When I heard that sunsetting was announced I did a primal screech and proceeded to order 5 copies of the game. I love the idea that the content I paid for is getting sunset to make room for 23 new weapons. It's actually really funny that they vaulted mars, Titan, and io so they add the ice planet and re use the cosmodrome. Now that I think about I think I'm going to study the tos before I go to sleep tonight. Hopefully I'll have that dream where bungie comes my house and just snaps my disc in half. That's how some of you sound.

I just go to another world. by not finish season rank . there is nothing to do since dress in here is look like grandma. and all weapon is i farm . is not stay longer pass 2 season . or its gonna expire after this season . couz new season will rise a cap again . and over again - _ -.. cheer

I have zero issues with sunsetting specifically but there NEEDS to be a way to infuse the reissued items into the old versions to raise their caps

1 ReplySunsetting’s main problems: You should not have to “RE-ROLL” Looking at you, Long Shadow, Bad Omens, Last Dance, etc. Just because I got them when they first came out should not make me re-roll them. Its unfair to the loyal fanbase who have played since vanilla launch. Moon/Dreaming City. Putting power caps on planets you left in the game is absurd. I still complete Moon missions by chance from just playing, having these weapons have a Sunset on them is ridiculous. Everything else I’m ok with, its nice seeing new weapons and load outs in the Crucible, Nightfalls. Ps. Please add more SMG’s. There’s not enough.

2 RepliesYesir. Sunsetting is a con. They are taking away stuff so they can either reskin it at a later date, or have us buy it back in a future DLC. It's laziness. Plain and simple. They did this cause we cheesed a few reps for raids, or they were OP in Trials and rather than find a solution, work with the community, be creative, they just get rid of stuff. Lame. I am going to comment on every anti-sunsetting thread on here till they get the point.

3 RepliesI think the lead at bungie should play division 2 and be blown away by how lame destiny 2 is appearing in comparison. Destiny 2 is literally riding on the coattails of it's own popularity. It has nothing valuable to offer anymore beyond a name brand.
