As explained in the title I unfortunately can't load into Europa destination... I was able to complete the first mission then spoke to Variks. Once I tried to begin the next mission I got black screened until the game crashed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice now with the issue continuing to occur...

Edited by Matt, Player of Destiny: 1/6/2021 8:35:00 PMAs of recently I’ve been having a similar issue to this and I don’t know why. Every time I first load into the game it is VERY stuttery and freezes like every 5 seconds or so for a WHILE before it finally calms down. After that I cannot load into anything AT ALL. If I try to load into an activity, It loads forever on a black screen after my ship flies in and then boom game is crashed and I LITERALLY cannot play the game because of this. I NEED HELP

1 ReplySAME EXACT ISSUE and I havent been able to play AT ALL!

4 RepliesHello. You may want to verify the integrity of your game files in the Steam app to see if that helps with your issue. If that doesn't help, here are more suggestions that may help you:
1. Go to your Games library, right-click Destiny 2 and go to Properties. Click Local Files then Browse Local Files to open your Destiny 2 directory. Remove all files in this folder EXCEPT "Packages "then verify the integrity of Destiny 2 game files again. 2. Make sure that your HDD/SDD isn't full. 3. Update your drivers or do a fresh install 4. Some players have reported that changing the game language may resolve the issue. 5. Make sure everything in the D2 Steam folder isn’t set to read-only. 6. This post suggests moving your game files around. 7. You may want to uninstall and reinstall D2 and Steam if none of these suggestions help.
Edited by ZuyaDragon: 11/12/2020 4:32:33 AMAlso same problems here! I've rebooted my PC a few times due to other software spazzing out and dropping me into a blue screen. Initially I could load to Europa and at least roam around on the planet with my warlock, but I couldn't get past the first story mission without blackscreening and "This Program has stopped responding" and then out of the game. I was able to get a little farther on my hunter, but then today I tried on the warlock and got to Europa once, tried the mission, game went non-responsive and crashed. I tried again with the warlock, crashed before I even got to the planet. Tried then with the hunter, game crashed while trying to just load to europa. This is getting annoying. **edit: at this point, I'm validating steam files and will be checking graphics card for updates after that, then will be checking windows for updates as well. I'll be rebooting during all this too. *** EDIT TWO: I appear to be golden for playing now after a GPU update and validation and a reboot.

4 RepliesI’m having the exact same problem I would click on any planet and wait in a black screen just for the game to kick me out with no message. I tried everything, I tried deleting, validating license, deleting steam everything hasn’t worked.

1 ReplyI would like to add that I can see the loading (class symbols) display on the bottom right side of the screen. After a few moments they completely stop changing then the fps display disappears. A few moments later the crash happens. These are the steps that happen each and every time I attempt to continue with the mission... I would love to enjoy this expansion like many others currently are. Any information or help would be greatly appreciated...

same problem, it follows with slow loading of all locations in game after installing this DLC. Before it all was alright
