My experience with my warlock so far has been really underwhelming . It feels really clunky to use and leaves you open with slow animations . Don’t even start me in the stasis enemies I already hate them already , being held in place and waiting what feels like an eternity to get out with barely any health ....really fun . Overall really disappointed so far , I believe the skill tree will appear at some point to be played around with but honestly what a terrible introduction to something new , when it auto switches me to stasis during the ‘campaign’ I have zero desire to use it .

2 Replies100000% agree. Stasis has been out for a while now and it's ruined PvP. And before some stasis fanboy says 'just git gud', I have my trials flawless runs and regularly slap in Iron Banner. But stasis breaks destiny, like I cant believe this #### shipped at all like this kind of broken. And I've been here since d1 beta. I've seen wild times but this is the worst by far. Its like they knew this update would be skimpy and trash so they just let this broken monster loose as a distraction and to keep us grinding aspects etc. F stasis. I'm a Guardian, born to the light. Forcing me to use ice cube BS is trash and I hate it.
-
Stasis is supposed to make up for the boring content and stupid story. It just caused me to quit playing again. I’ve played less than an hour in the last three months because every time I try I just get frustrated and rapidly bored.
-
Stasis is trash except in PVP and most of the quests or bounties take forever because the stasis kills don't seem to count most of the time. Its beyond annoying because you have to use it to progress it but its becoming more and more evident that its pointless.

Edited by Rush: 11/22/2020 9:31:13 PMI'm not pleased with how they adjusted Warlock Stasis, as I've felt the charge ratio has been slow since launch and now they've nerfed its abilities, too. The ice wall grenade is also irritating, as I have to circle around it most of the time just to kill the enemies I've stuck... luckily there are other grenades to earn. What I like the least, however, is just how awkward Shiver Strike is to use. In most cases I drift past a target, as whether I'm up above or at ground level heading towards them, it lacks the elegance you have with Finishers to lock-on. A lot of times when I finally do, it then only freezes the one I hit rather than the group around them, suggesting the whole mechanic is working inconsistently.

1 ReplyDo you still feel this way? What I hear from the community is that Warlock stasis is way more overpowered than Titan and Hunter. Paired with a Monte Carlo and a ranged melee, the Warlock is unstoppable.
-
could not agree more.

Your post pretty much describes my experience when I tried out the stasis for the Hunter and Warlock I honestly wouldn't use it for DPS. At least for the hunter it's good for crowd control. The Warlock stasis subclass it just doesn't make any sense I like the melee. It's just the overall subclass ability it's just awful it's so inaccurate. At least with the Titan you freeze enemies and you punch them to death. It would be nice with the Warlock stasis if you were able to use the staff as a melee weapon instead of something that you just shoot at the enemy to freeze them.
-
Yeah, statis sucks. It's weak, underwhelming, and awkward. During the campaign when I pressed "O" to get loose, it repeatedly activated my rift instead of setting me loose. So, I'd be frozen, but with a rift. Thanks? LOL. Blueberries on strikes are using the status "wall" grenade to block their teammates from reach enemies or advancing down corridors. It reminds me that Destiny used to have a strong sense of community. That went out the window seasons ago, and this new wall grenade just plays into the newer "screw you" attitude of many players. It's pretty, though. Way to turn the "healing crystals" trend on its ear. LOL.

1 ReplyRIP to this guy when he realizes there are long quest lines just for one new grenade and an aspect or fragments. Lol

12 RepliesPretty concerning that people think Warlock is underpowered or disappointing... at this point I think the Warlock pity-party has them blinded to the new subclasses capabilities. My friend who is very competent at PvP, more so than most here, claims that his stasis Warlock is overpowered. The ranged melee is OP in the sense that it freezes anyone and everyone caught in it and is a proximity detonation, meaning you don't even have to be pinpoint accurate with it. At least it moves slower than something like Celestial Fire. He's frozen spectral blades and thundercrashes for free kills, as well as just regular guardians. The super is a much better nova warp. Melee supers may as well just be lambs to the slaughter against the new Warlock super, and it still acts as a decent slayer super but is apparently easily avoidable like golden gun. It lacks abundant aim assist but has tracking. I'll be able to provide a good perspective on the hunter subclass sometime later when I actually get time to play again. No idea bout Titan.

Started a new topic: Hunter stasis subclass sucks(4 Replies))

3 RepliesStasis really is the pits. Why would I want to use a grenade that doesn’t kill anything. So what that it is great for crowd control, I want it to kill things, not add another step to killing things. God awful super just makes everything worse, if you can manage to kill anything it takes forever, needs to last a hell of a lot longer to be even close to as useful as other classes.
-
1 ReplyStasis is terrible, I've been doing the Umbral Riches for over 2.5 hours in Gambit. None of the Stasis Super Final Blows are counting. Grenades/BL GL to kill Blockers are weak af, they don't do anything. What was Bungie thinking when they made this Quest and why wasn't it properly tested in QA before release?
-
3 RepliesAgree 100%, stasis is weak and worthless, as for freezing your enemy, IT DOESN'T !!! Enemies simply keep moving forward, they have the appearance and colour/shade of having been frozen, but carry on moving .. A seriously weak repetitive effort on Bungie's part, feels more like a patch than a DLC ...
-
1 ReplyTitan is the worst, the melee has zero tracking and it’s the only way to get a kill. Awful subclass, also it’s annoying af even to teammates.
-
Edited by DJ Prof K: 11/12/2020 10:42:03 PMI'm using a warlock too and while initially I was disappointed with stasis, the more Ive gotten to use it the more I'm learning its quirks and enjoying it. Also, against pve enemies if you're actually being hit by stasis attacks (ESPECIALLY AS A WARLOCK) you need to work on your reflexes bud.
-
9 RepliesMy friends and I (all different classes ,myself being Titan) are absolutely loving these subclasses Don’t understand how so many are hating on it to be honest ,Why do yall hate fun
-
5 RepliesEdited by greendevi: 11/11/2020 5:22:01 PMStasis in pvp is broken and either needs nerf or banned from pvp

I think the sooner people understand that stasis is more a means of CC over DPS the better. I personally really appreciate the new hunter subclass and a friend I've been playing with loves the warlock one. From the being frozen end of things: some people want a cake walk for some reason. It's not that difficult to dodge out of the way of enemy attacks. It's like any small threat of difficulty and part of this community loses its mind. These boss fights have been the most fun of any in the game, in my opinion. Perhaps it's been because I ran everything under leveled. I'm ready for the raid to crank it up to an 11. In pvp, honestly as long as that crowd doesn't get stasis nerfed in pve (which it normally doesn't) y'all can me as mad as you want and get the whole thing nerfed into the ground for all I care.

Edited by WormChi: 11/12/2020 5:06:04 PMShadebinder needs blink, or dodge or shift. Something to give it some movement. As it stands it’s another wasted subclass like Stormcaller for players who like to play with heavy movement. Would be really nice to see blink on a second Warlock tree: Been maining Voidwalker for 6 years.

6 RepliesTap the the dodge button to break free.

4 Repliesthe titan is awesome.. and really fast paced and powerfull, the warlock is a lame duck with clunky projectiles and by the time you arrived at your destination your enemies are free again.. .. baaaad execution.. for the warlock.. the titan will be horrible in pvp.. i dread setting foot into the crucible.. =D
-
Titan is just so bad having to freeze slam before shoulder charging to do any kind of damage The super doesnt last lonf enough because of this wombo combo and animations. Barely get any kills with it. The melee is also hot garbage. At least shouder charge can kill multiple enemies. This crap kills one single enemy and its clunky as hell.
-
Edited by Aimless: 11/12/2020 12:07:20 PMNo kidding I am right there with ya. Same thoughts and feeling about the subclass. It is weak as hell. That's the nicest way I can put it. Edit: Granted it is different but it also has its place just like any other subclass, it just needs to consume a Monster Energy drink and go ape sh!t.

5 RepliesWarlock - Ass Hunter - THE WORST BECAUSE WE CAN'T EVEN MOVE AROUND WITH THE STASIS Titan - Fist of Havoc but Ice and ass Grenade Wall Grenade - Literally the worst thing to even use Uh the Hunter Slam power - Crap The second Grenade - love it
