I'm testing out ps4 remote play on D2 right now and the buttons on the controller are all changed so sprinting won't work, aim down sight is L1 now, shoot is now R1, melee and grenade is on the pad button, and etc. I don't know if it's an issue on remote play or on D2. Does anybody have a solution?? I'm using remote play on an iphone 8 by the way.

Edited by VWijenberg1987: 12/28/2020 8:29:24 PMRemote play will not be fixed att all it seems because they don't care about this issue.

Please Bungie, this issue should be easy to solve. Thanks in advance

This bug is so much fun. Very confusing too as I was playing D1 on remote play and was left scratching my head when I tried to play on D2

I thought it was on my part, then i found your post. December 18, another update, still nothing. Can we please fix it bungie?

Please fix
-
Another update and it's still not fixed, c'mon now Bungie.
-
bungie fix it please
-
Are we ever gonna get this fixed? Just wanted to comment to let bungie know this debacle is still annoying! FIX IT!!

Same problem exists and now a little worse. Even without a controller plugged in, my character pulls up ghost and looks and the map.

I have been losing my sanity trying to get this to work. I uninstalled. Reinstalled. Tried an old android third party app called sixaxis controller. Changed the bindings. Contacted the developer of the remote play app I use (PsPlay) eventually and he clues me in to this thread. I bet many others are pulling out their hair not knowing this is a larger issue. Bungie please fix. Thanks

Quick update is this fixed yet with the Remote play button issue??

2 RepliesThe controls have basically been reset to those you would use when using a PS Vita, which is fine if you have a Vita but very annoying if you don’t! The Vita only has L1 and R1 which are used for ADS and shoot, and when playing D2 you need to use the touchscreen for grenades and melee. This works currently on Remote Play if you are using a touchscreen device, e.g. mobile phone or tablet. If you touch the screen near the top just left of centre you will get a grenade, and just right of centre for melee. Touch both together for your super. To sprint on the Vita you need to hold the “down” button on the D pad whilst moving the left thumb stick. This is fine on the Vita as the thumb sticks are very small and close to the D pad so you can easily do both at the same time with your left thumb. However this is not so easy on a controller and virtually impossible on a touch screen device. So basically the game is currently unplayable via PS remote play unless you have a PS Vita. Dear Bungie - please fix this ASAP for the sanity of all remote players!

I have the same problem here. The problem isn't the remote play app itself, because the controller works perfectly well with other games on remote play, and it also work perfectly in D2 before the update. It's only when I tried to play beyond light that this started. Changing the bindings in controller settings doesn't change anything.

2 RepliesTempted to ask for refund a d quit playing. I currently can only play via remote play And watching all my friends play and I can not is very very discouraging. This is not a remote play issue as all other games work fine its due directly to the beyond light update
-
3 RepliesYes there is an issue with remote play because all buttons work fine playing straight to the TV
-
I have the same problem. Does not work for D2 on my laptop through PS remote play. Directly on PS4 works fine. The game is unplayable on remote play unfortunately.

1 Replyanyone tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game?

Giving an update but it looks like a similar post was made in the console support thread. Someone from Bungie has confirmed that their aware of the issue and are looking into it.

Hello, I can confirm this is happening to me as well. Plugging the controller into the console makes it work fine, but using remote play messes the controls up exactly as how Ninja Hayabusa has described it. I was playing Destiny 2 before Beyond Light's drop with remote play and it worked perfectly and I have never had this happen with other games so it 100% has to b on Bungie's end. Bungie please help.

This has been happening for me as well on my PC. The issue only started after Beyond Light dropped. I had no problem on Monday, so this is a new thing with Beyond Light. I hope they can figure it out. This is the primary way I play Destiny.

1 ReplyI see someone responded, but I wanted to mentioned this isn't an issue with remote play. I've use remote play very regularly to play all my games and none of the others are having any issues. Destiny 2 didn't have any issues either before Beyond Light. Looking for the fix, so I can get back to being unproductive at work ;)
