Why is downloading destiny updates so slow compared to my actual connection speed?
This update is just taking forever! Whenever I check the queue it's like in the kbps... in Australia here we don't have great Internet but at 50mbs I'd think I could expect more than 500-1000kbps download. And I already downloaded the new Gears tactics earlier today at a constant 30+mbs.
Why is destiny always so painfully slow?

1 ReplyThis is a 3 year old post and the same thing still happens. It is in-fact destiny 2 that takes forever to update. Don’t listen to anyone trying to put the blame on your internet provider. I have Gigabit internet and it only downloads at 10-16 Mbps which is barley over a MBps. And when I switch to update other games because I’m sick and tired of watching it go so slow it immediately goes to the speed of my internet. Between 300-700 Mbps. If I could put videos I’d show proof. Fix it.

But complimenting what was already said, it must be something from you provider, plataform or even "closest" server. I for example live in Brazil and worse, in one of the worse States in Brazil in regards of internet and even so i downloaded the game at normal speed constantly.
