Forcing me to play crucible
I really hate how much of this game's progression forces me to have to play crucible.
The moment I see a quest that has it, I give up on it completely. I'm not alone in this, several of my friends we just like to pve
Why can't this -blam!-ing game give me the option? Kill 25 guardians or 50 strikes? Or whatever, make the pve element way harder, I don't care. I'll grind out a hundred hours doing something I enjoy doing than 2 hours of something I hate.

1 ReplyYeah man that's why I stopped playing. Can't get exotics unless you do crucible or gambit. Can't finish stasis sub class with out it either. There are other mmo games that are fun to play and do not force you to play game modes you hate. I lost interest in destiny over this exact subject. pvp and pvp should always be separate.

1 ReplyI told my son yesterday that half the game was doing stuff you don't really want to do for rewards you'll probably end up never using. This was during my Malfeasance run on the 10 wins (the army of one afterwards took WAY less time luckily, it was just the crummy 4 stacks and bad matchmaking). Anyways, the word forced is an instant door to let the Bungie Defense Force to come running. They aren't wrong, you aren't forced to. We aren't forced to play this game at all. But the reality is, unless you want to feel like you're missing out you end up doing a lot of things that aren't enjoyable. I don't want to try to speak for everyone, but the majority I've seen don't like every aspect in the game. It's just the Bungie way, eat the whole plate or learn to go to bed still hungry.

I'm serious. The part about his friends is true.

If you think Crucible is bad, try being me grinding for IB bounties....Man, i suck at PVP and I'll be playing against people for kills that hit the bounty in a few matches....takes me all day....just keep grinding. I hate PVP and i just go in there with a PVE build and go for it. I know I'm an anchor on the team but i play PVP so seldom (only 4 matches a week) that I don't feel that guilty. My clanmates have "PVP" builds and LOVE PVP. Back before my entire clan left Destiny we had a blast playing PVP, they didn't care that I sucked, they were just into finding the best players on the other team and challenging them. Me and the other scrubs (and there were always a few) just competed against each other. The top tier players would just run by us looking for the challenging players. LOL good times. I understand how you feel, but Destiny Defenders will attack any opinion they don't agree with. This is a toxic place.

I just quickly get the quest steps done. I'm not fond of d2 pvp. I don't like all the ohk ability and weapon spam. That's my opinion. But I tough it out till the quest steps are complete.

Ah yes and while we're at it lets make all the new raid gear/weapons/ exotic avaliable in the pvp loot pool. See how silly that sounds? It's super simple if you dont play 100% of the game you dont get 100% of the rewards

Edited by sadguy321: 11/11/2020 2:35:09 PMI hate crucible and would do 10 raids over crucible anyday but most quests want 50 kills and if you crutch suros and some shotgun you can get that done in two quickplay matches.

If you're talking about the Duality kills for the catalyst then just wait until you hit rank 22 and it will reduce the number of kills needed.

You make a good point. Give two options. A Pvp and a PvE. I hate PvP. Me being forced into matches means I have a bad time and because I am not good at PvP means my team also suffers. I don't get the argument that we want something for free. Like you said, make it difficult, but keep it out of PvP. They have done it with recent catalysts quest where you can run strikes, gambit, or crucible to earn the catalysts. I just hate PvP completely.

Go get some thumbs and get 25 kills in a 6v6 playlist. Do you know how long we farmed for beloved, mindbenders, ect? The game isn’t just for YOU. PS. PVE IS EASY

Last summer when spare rations had the damage drop of ace of spades and everyone was going crazy for it my friends and I were farming reckoning for full days at a time trying to get one so we could compete in PvP. One day we sat there and played for 8 hours straight and I had to get off because I dozed off half way across the bridge. If you were curious I got a grand total of four spare rations that day.[/spoiler]

It's the same for me and pve. Pve is boring. Yet it's really the only place to get cool stuff, the crucible loot pool is ass

5 RepliesThe whole point of creating content that requires PvP is to make sure there is a healthy pool of players at all skill levels playing PvP at all times. If you don't like PvP, don't play it. It's that simple. Just don't expect to be handed the same rewards as the players who are taking their lumps and keeping PvP healthy.

4 RepliesI get it but I disagree. Because next it will be raid specific things can be acquired in *insert whatever easier task* and takes away from the point of a looter/grind game. Also wheres your sense of accomplishment if you can just run a ridiculously easy strike 50 times as opposed to get a couple wins on crucible.
