Normally when you defeat an enemy or opponent the Cosmology weapon perk creates these tiny, annoying projectiles that really don’t do much damage-wise. Like a Walmart Outbreak Perfected.
Then I noticed something very interesting when I was working on the catalyst at the Altars of Sorrow: it was producing basketball-sized void projectiles that did much more damage. Those that died from the projectiles exploded violently, damaged others, which also exploded violently and then they produced EVEN MORE projectiles.
So if you think this weapon isn’t All That I highly recommend trying this out at the Altars of Sorrow. Just for giggles.

2 RepliesEdited by Mxyzptlk: 1/21/2021 12:43:57 AMi just got my graviton lance 2 days ago . i have a question..periodically-for no fathomable reason it will fire at full auto for a short time..can anyone tell me why this is.. most of the time otherwise fires semi.

2 RepliesDid my catalyst where TrueVanguard did his sunshot at on nessus..took a minute. I miss Dead Orbit. Those were real choices. I wanted Sunshots cat so bad but I was in love with Grav's sound and feel. I regret it now but making a real choice was cool.

2 RepliesThe gun doesn't work on shanks and harpies. It makes me so annoyed.

I'm still fairly certain the explody-purple-blob-things are bugged. I'm using it for Nightfalls since we have Unstoppable Pulse on the gauntlets, and I am regularly seeing 18 damage. Not 1,800, not 180, literally just 18. I feel like that has to be a bug, because that is way too low a number and I'd almost rather just not see any number if it's that little.

1 ReplyHaha oh man i remember using my graviton with the catalyst back in the day that thing was nuts 2 taps to the head to kill + exploding void orbs of death what a time that was
-
Edited by dadomike: 11/8/2020 8:44:12 AMIt's a great gun for clearing out groups of low lvl enemies, always has been. Last wish raid, shuro chi encounter, you can spawn kill all taken thralls with just 1 initial kill.

1 ReplyHave they updated the sound yet? I miss the primer rounds followed by the boom from the last shot
-
1 ReplyThe explosions should do more damage in my opinion.
-
11 RepliesHIGHLY under-rated weapon! I love the damn thing! What makes it even better is that its a Titan weapon 😎...
-
The weapon is quite bad tbh. I’m literally named after it.
-
It does some fine work on trash mobs. "See that mob of Dregs over there?" "What mob?" "Exactly."
-
Only Dead Orbit pledges should get the catalyst.

3 RepliesI finished the calayst there as well. Would shoot those balls at the feet of the hordes running at me. Also, it's such a great place to get it. You can shoot crits on the nightmares 4 times, get the perk, kills ads, and do it 3 or 4 more times on the same nightmare.

2 RepliesEdited by T_rar: 11/7/2020 8:35:22 PMI did the catayst for Trinity ghoul and GL back to back at alter of sorrow. Highly recommended that area for kill farm. Yeah gravatron works almost as well ghoul for low health adds with that perk. Those explosions are pretty legit.

I believe there was a buff to its projectiles last season...reason it was slept on was because how good snipers were and it’s slow ass ttk
-
3 RepliesWhen it was first released I always thought it was a scout rifle and the ranges it hit at.
-
2 RepliesI noticed that too..completed it last week. Those stupid 30 damage projectiles.. Cant even kill a thrall with the base seekers. Can just imagine a 3 person fireteam. Sunshot....graviton and outbreak ... Adds running away from solar/void and nanite explosions.
-
1 ReplyIf pulses get a buff, it’s gonna be at least A tier.
-
1 ReplyGraviton became the first pulse I dedicated to my Hunter, and I just had to pair it with the helmet.
-
1 ReplyPotent as with a solid charged with light build. Used it for a while this past season in crucible too works well against the average yet over confident snipers out there.
-
Graviton is so slept on, it's crazy
-
Graviton Lance is pretty much my favorite PvE weapon and was one of my favorite PvP weapons back when it was meta. You can chain the cosmology explosions really well if you work it right. If you haven't played The Hollowed Lair strike with it yet I suggest you do. Its a blast with that gun. The cool thing is that it seems like the cosmology goop explodes harder if you hit headshots. Don't know if thats the case or not but that's how it feels.

I remember grinding that catalyst back when it was first introduced. Legit took hours for those Cosmology kills even with the Shadow Thrall in the Whisper room.
-
I did the catalyst in the EDZ during the enemies moving against each other event. Fun fun
-
2 RepliesOfftopic - still hunting for Graviton Catalyst smfh ...
-
I actually still have to complete that catalyst, so nice tip! 👊🏼😁 Trinity Ghoul (since the upgraded perk) was the one I had the most fun with at Altar of Sorrows. You can single handedly hold back hoards of ads. 😆
