Most annoying aspect of this game is having to get strike bounties done, and the rest of the team or a single member just rushes through everything to finish the strike (skipping content). Please, put in more barriers to progressing through strikes until all the team has reached a milestone (e.g. require all NPCs to be eliminated before allowing progress to next stage of strike). For one, there is no reward for speed, and secondly, why bother with team-oriented content, if people are just going to force the rest of us to treat it as if it was solo content? Fix this lousy mechanic!

Sounds like some of the people who are saying "no, get used to it" are just selfish guardians. I have done these strikes a thousand times too, why should I have to put up with your speedrunning rubbish while I'm trying to do bounties. Also what quests and bounties are you doing? The only one I can think of is the weekly and rushing through that. It's not fun for anyone else. If you want to speed run either beg bungie to put solo strikes in or run in a fireteam.

Edited by Ghostfire239: 11/5/2020 6:21:55 AMNo. Why should we have to slow down just for you? Most of us have gone through these strike thousands of times. We’re just trying to get them out of the way quickly. Not mention some quests have you running a whole bunch of strikes. Most people want to get that done as quickly as possible. You want to go through the strike slowly? You’re among the few. Make a fire team and run it slowly.

1 ReplyIf you're trying to do bounties, go into one of the regular Nightfalls.

Sorry that I've done every strike a billion times. Deal with it.
-
when you have done 2 strikes we have done 3-4 strikes, thats a higher reward if you ask me and i got 571 strike completions, dont really wanna spend my time their to long.
-
They do a firewalled version of forest, so why not strikes. Who knows, they probably have reasons.
-
At the position that bungie’s in now grinding is the only thing bungies got going for them in Destiny 2. This is why I’m buying the new Dlc much later than I’ve normally done.
-
The reward for speed is spending less time on mindnumbingly boring repetitive grind.
-
The only two fixes is either join a fireteam of like minded people or Bungie allows us to solo strikes. The way it is now your going to have to get used to it especially at this point of the game.

Edited by QUANTUM-CHUNGUS: 11/3/2020 9:22:37 AMYeah if you wanna shoot every single thrall then be my guest but I ain't doing it with you. We've done these strikes 100s of times already.

Edited by piratepatchy243: 11/3/2020 9:54:13 AMRunning the same strikes hundreds of times is not content, some strikes do barriers well but adding more and adding to ones that don't is far from needed. When I speed run I still get a large amount of kills, I'm not going to kill every dreg and search every -blam!-ing corner though. If you want to be that guy I'll be that guy too and pull your ass to me, understand the other side of the coin or just start your own nightfalls.

1 ReplyEdited by Swiftlock: 11/2/2020 9:38:31 PM
there is no reward for speed
Decoders, catalysts, pinnacles, and strike exclusives would disagree with you. The only meaningful strike rewards rely on grinding completions. People want to get this done as fast as possible, not wander around and shoot every little monster. Don't hate the players. Hate Bungie for a flawed loot system.

Or they could just add firewalled options and make everyone happy.
-
No reward for speed? You didn't think this through, did you?
-
Strikes are dull they should be rushed
-
One way to fix this would be to ‘not’ despwan the enemies. That way you can still get the bounties done.
-
It's all about efficiency. They've made plenty of strikes with barriers that force you to do things before continuing. Anything more ham-fisted would just be annoying.
-
Why you no fast?

2 RepliesJust get a fireteam
