Sudden fps drops

Hello I am owning destiny 2 for a while now. I was playing it back when the forsaken came out and I finnished the story without any problems. Yesterday I downloaded the game because I wanted to get back into it but now I encountered the problem where I am playing the game everything is fine and suddenly my fps randomly drops. First I restarted the game and returned to the same area and everything was fine but as I kept playing the issue keeps returning. I can wait for a while and my fps returns to normal even in the same area with pretty much the same amount of enemies and effects. I am able to get smooth fps even on higher setting. I tried to lower settings to minimum and it even said that I was using abouth 1/3 of my VRAM but it didnt help. I have nice smooth fps and all of a sudden game drops to like 15 fps to the point where its practically unplayable. I wanted to ask if there is any way to fix this issue and if its needed I can post my dxdiag file as well. Thank you in advance
