In the new system, you will be able to make the following transactions:
1. Buy 10 Enhancement Cores for 300 Legendary Shards
2. Buy 25 Planetary Materials for 5 Legendary Shards
3. Buy 10,000 Glimmer for 20 Planetary materials which can be purchased for 4 Legendary Shards
4. Buy an Enhancement Prism from Banshee-44 for 10 Enhancement Cores, 25 Planetary Materials, and 10,000 Glimmer.
That's 309 Legendary Shards per Enhancement Prism.
That seems a bit lower than 400...
-
1. Run any Ordeal Nightfall at Hero or above Seems much lower than 400...
-
1 ReplyI just got 3 enhancement prisms from running an 8 minute Master Ordeal Nightfall. 0 legendary shards spent. Just 8 minutes of my time. Why do you think endgame players are farming nightfalls. Do your due diligence.
-
5 RepliesIt's so mind numbingly easy to earn cores in this game
-
Or just run some nightfalls...
-
Which means that they don't really want you doing it. They've made it so that the most efficient way of getting prisms is by actually PLAYING the game, rather than trying play arbitrage with a half-dozen different currencies.
-
Why on earth anyone would need to buy prisms from Spider in BL is beyond me.
-
3 RepliesI know you are all upset. Why don't we play for a little bit. Let's play describe the game Destiny using their guns. Destiny 1: is like a Gjallarhorn - Because elegant and loved by all. Destiny 2: is like a Whisper of the Worm - Because reskins?. . . Yeah, it's the beginning of the copy/paste era. Destiny 2.2 Beyond Light: is like The Cut and Run - Because . . . well, I think that says it all. It's self explanatory. But the Fanbois will not get this and will get triggered. Bungie Logic!
-
1 ReplyI take it that as I have over 800 enhancement cores, it would probably be better to buy prisms now.
-
I've been running the Pit of Heresy on all 3 characters and been banking the armor into my vault to dismantle later. 1 masterworked armor breaks down to 6 prisms and 6 enhancement cores.. im at 37 pieces. Run first character to the boss. wipe and change characters. Defeat boss. Load back with checkpoint, fireteam joins. Change characters. Kill boss. Change characters. Run your final checkpoint. In less that 1 hour you have 18 prisms and 18 enhancement cores. Stop there or farm nightfalls and profit, your choice. Don't buy from spider, earn them

Spider is the black market, he’s not Walmart.

3 RepliesWhat do you think of Beyond Light so far?. . . I'm not sure yet. They took out a lot of things. And now they are also changing a lot of things. The only thing that really stuck out with me that's new is "Dynamic Weather." I guess that's what everybody "REALLY" wants, right?. . . I mean they really wanna emphasize it into the game that even your new Supers are like Dynamic Weather! Let me show you . . . Everytime you use your STASIS ability, you make an OLAF! You cast a STASIS rift, you make an OLAF! You do a STASIS shadestep, you make an OLAF! You throw a STASIS Shuriken, you make an OLAF! You do a STASIS Titan missile melee, you make an OLAF! You throw STASIS grenades, you make an OLAF! You use your STASIS Supers, you make an OLAF! You use any STASIS Subclass abilities or supers, you make an OLAF! Darkness is OLAF! See, that's Dynamic Weather for you! It's gonna be epic, like Meta, like OP! We will sunset your guns. Who needs guns when you have "Dynamic Weather!" Bungie Logic!

2 RepliesIf you can still get the weekly 7 cores from Hawthorne you barely need to do what's in your first point. Also planetary materials are easy to get so your second point won't apply. Same to your third point, glimmer is like raining from the sky, I'm almost ever at cap.
-
4 Repliesruns Pit of Heresy, saves boss checkpoint, three clears, three dismantles, gets 18 cores & 18 prisms Dismantles MW gear in vault that's sunset'd gets 6 cores & 6 prisms per each. really not worried about it. I've been vaulting MW armor from the Pit for months as a way to hold more rare materials just in another form. this is the way

1 Replyyeah, but it take more time (max. 3 prism a day vs 5 core day, so 6 days for 3 prism)- bungie is probably banking on impatients players unable to retain them self. But not sure about who will use it - hard core players having ton of legendary have plenty of ways to earn prism, casual player who may need to buy one or to prisms probably don't.
-
Probably because it’s not meant to be the primary way of getting the materials. Just a quick stop to get one or two you need to finish something before you start playing or are done for the day but came up short.
-
Bungie assumes with Sunsetting, we're just going to dismantle all the Legendaries in our Vault. Which is where they're assuming all the Shards are going to come from.
-
5 RepliesI’m glad they are getting a universal currency, but they used the transition as a way to up the prices on everything without us knowing because we never have seen these price rates before... it has to take people to “run the numbers” to figure out the rates
-
Agreed
-
Bro. To any kind of new player, 309 might as well be 400.
-
Overly complicated exchange system is overly complicated. Well, I've heard people say Destiny should be more like Warframe...

and "all" drop rates will fall.
-
I honestly don't see the reason to even give Spider prisms in the first place.
-
I’m sure they will remove prisms from Banshee’s inventory.
