I’m really struggling to understand what I’m paying $40-$50 here...in the roadmap for this upcoming season, the ONLY things that are not free are the campaign, stasis subclasses and the grenade launcher quest...EVERYTHING ELSE lists as free to all players. No mention of crucible or gambit at all. I get that we have gamepass etc, but seriously, what are we paying for?!

Really enjoyed seeing Uldren back in action in a vidoc instead of playing the damn game and watching it first hand while playing.... Sigh. Oh well. Looks good at least.

They said the same kind of platitudes with TTK and D2’s launch and Forsaken and Now BL. I’ll believe it when I see it, they’ve got their work cut out for them considering the decisions in where dev time has been focused time and time again. Intuitive and simplistic systems of loot like D1 vendors and weekly rolls have been boiled down to slot machines for YEARS. A majority of the loot is scrap or vaulted incase the sandbox changes and things suddenly become useful. A majority of this game’s issues in both PvP and PvE revolve around unrewarding loot and time investment and the systems that go along with that root cause. For the average player around 1040+ light at that point most of the rewards are filler that will never be used, and the way things are the more time you put in the less rewarding and more constricted loot rewards become. Pinnacles highlight this in the fact you can do every activity available for a week and not go up a single point because of the rewards being so randomized. Now multiply this by multiple weeks grinding just to go up a point in order to be viable for end game activities. I wish I had a balanced answer to all of this between where we are now and everything being handed to us.

I thought it was great. The one thing I walked away from it wondering though...where is the PvP stuff?

the vidoc was good but one thing that has really pissed me is they showed too much of the story rather than teasing it a little. Why the f uc k would you ever mention xivu arath in this?, we would have been surprised if we find it when we play it. Most of us are thinking Xivu will be way later, maybe after lightfall, right now we are only focusing on savathun. 2. as someone said, you shouldn’t have revealed crow.

Hopefully the DLC will be half as good as the video, but im doubtful.

[spoiler]Honestly, trying to figure out where the story is going to go from this just gave me a headache. First they showed Eris, the Drifter and the Stranger meeting up to fight against Eramis who is using the power of the Pyramid. Which is what we've speculated since this has been announced. But then they randomly talk about Uldren and Osiris teaming up to stop the Hive signaling Savathun. Like really? We're doing this again? Starting the DLC with one story, then immediately throwing it aside for some other plot line. This is the third year in a row they've done this.[/spoiler]
