If the enchantment core issue resulted in everyone just adapting I don’t see this ending up any different. Forum tantrums won’t do anything

Edited by Swift: 10/26/2020 4:38:01 PMThe difference here was that was a pain point about upgrading. This is now a time limit on gear in a game about getting gear, so what's the point to earn really good stuff just to have it constantly taken away. Also, keep in mind that "year" we get to use it, only really counts if you get it right away. I used to farm the absolute -blam!- out of vex offensive for a god roll optative. I literally got my god roll on saturday from a random umbral engram decode...
Kingkobra If the enchantment core issue resulted in everyone just adapting I don’t see this ending up any different.
Backwards. The enhancement core issue failed because it was a dumb game design move that threw sand in the gears of the game...to benefit streamers who wanted the game to be as grindy and inaccessible as possible. It broke the basic reward loop of the game, and the community got up and left. This isn't going to fail---definitionally---because its a necessary part of every loot game. In fact most of the problems that Bungie is trying to fix are wholly (or in part) due to the fact that Bungie didn't do this years ago. If Bungie gets the execution of this right, you will wind up with a game that combines the best parts of Destiny 2 with the best parts of Destiny 1..... ....and the game finally gets back on track to reaching its potential. But this game will NEVER do that as long as Bungie lets people drag loot behind them forever...and people have to keep HUNDREDS of weapons in their vaults because they never know when something will suddenly become the meta because of a random sandbox patch.....or when the meta will get broken over a knee by one.
