North American Empire - What do we know?
I am no expert on Destiny lore but I have heard about little snippets here and there about a region on Earth called the "North American Empire". I am curious what do we know about the place exactly? I know that is supposedly where the United States once was and Old Chicago resides.

5 RepliesNever heard of the North American Empire from stuff that didn’t make it into Destiny, but I did remember hearing about Old Chicago and it being a swamp or something. Is there any interesting lore about North or South America in Destiny?

I don’t remember anything about the Empire or Golden Age stuff, but I do know that since the Collapse we’ve got the Manhattan Nuclear Zone and Old Chicago is a swamp. Other than that, North America has only been described as deserts and wasteland: “the ravaged deserts and plains of the north.”
